Anyone using non-Volt cartos on their Volt's?

Somebody told me that alcohol makes the liquid burn hotter (kills cartos faster/gets the coil cruddy faster). No truth to that? I got some liquid (white chocolate mac nut from Vapor Renu) that killed my cartos IMMEDIATELY (carto ran hot and tasted burnt after just a couple of hits), and the only troubleshooting the guy there could do was to see if the formula had any alcohol in it...

Also, I had no luck in removing/reducing the crud bbs on the coil with any kind of alcohol. It had no effect whatsoever on those, even after soaking for 2-3 weeks.

I bought a bunch of bloog carts and juice. I compared the same juice in both the bloog cart and SI cart and the SI cart has a better hit and flavor. I am wondering if they are higher resistance.

I know a short while back the wisdom on the boards seemed to suggest that resistances were usually:

SI > Halo > Bloog

but there is always variation among cartos

as Imagine said, interesting indeed. Wonder if things have changed.

BTW to the OP, I use fluxomizers and other clearos exclusively these days pretty much, on my Volts and Halos, Echos and V4Ls, 901s and 510s. I can't go back to regular carts. Ever.
