Hi, I'm in Denton and I would like to thank you all for directing me to the Vaporessence store there about 6 weeks ago. I had just decided to start vaping and had no idea where to start. Found your group and thread, went there and talked to Greg who hooked me up, and I have been analog free for 47 days now!

Are there any other local stores close to me that i can trust for good supplies?

Oh, and my quitting stats signature thing stopped working. Where can I get another one?

DFWVapor.com is based out of the Dallas area. They don't have a store front but I believe the owner is willing to meet you just about anywhere.

How is the selection at Vaporescence? Do they carry a lot more items than what is online?

Congrats on almost 50 days there Taryn!, Welcome to the group!

I haven't been to Vaporessence (I don't get that far north often), James at DFWVapor was a big help to me starting out, but now I'm mostly DIY... There is a thread titled 'Oh Crap I need....' that has allot of others listed, IDK if any have gone out of buissness since then or anything, though...

Sorry, IDK anything about the signature counter, I gave up on saving money on vaping long, long ago, I think it would be very depressing to know how much more I've spent on vaping/modding supplies then I would have on analogs... I quit smoking, with all that entails, and I enjoy vaping and making my own PV's... That's enough for me, even if it's cost me a little more then smoking over the past ~9 months...

What kinda PV do you use? and What's your favorite flavor to vape?

bubbajoe, Vaporessence is the only storefront I have been to, so I don't know if their selection is big or small. As for the online site, seems like they have enough if you get past the first page of featured products. They make their own flavors there and last time I was in there had about 100 available. Greg will pretty much mix you up whatever kind of juice you need...if he has been so patient with me and all my issues, I know he's a good competent retailer! As for the e-cigs, he has pretty much what is on the site, and all the accessories.

Bob, you just have too much disposable income!

I haven't spent all that much on vaping (yet!) but from the counter on my desktop have saved about $300 over the last 7 weeks. My real problem has been finding the right nic level, so I have spent more on juices than anything else. Too little gives me a headache, too much hurts my throat. :sigh:

Greetings!

Been wanting to post in this forum for a while but was stopped by the "5 post" rule. Guess I'm not very talkative? Anyway, today I finally earned my wings.

I'm a big fan of Vaporescence. Make the pilgrimage over there every 2-3 weeks.

Greg is responsible for getting me off those expensive atomizers and on to 510 cartos. I am a happy camper!

What is the difference between atomizers and cartos? (Probably falls in the category of stupid questions!)

The only stupid questions are ones that aren't asked .

Essentially, atomizers are the just the heating element combines with the cartridge that actually holds the juice. They are two separate units - atomizers stay on the battery and the cartridges are swapped out when you're out of juice. When the atomizer goes bad, you toss the atomizer and can keep reusing the cartridge.

Cartos, or cartomizers are units that combine both the atomizer and the cartridge. They can typically hold more juice than a separate atomizer/cartridge unit. When you run out, you swap out the whole cartomizer. When the cartomizer goes bad, you toss the whole thing.

Hey Mary, have you tried other attys or just the ones that Greg sales? We bought our original kit and 3 additional attys from him and one of them shorted out both of the batteries. He gladly replaced them (only bought three days before) but, out of the 5 attys from him, 3 were DOA!!! We bought Joye attys and all are still vaping great and they actually produce more vapor. BUT, Greg does seem to be a really nice guy and is definitely a plethera of info!!! His Bubbs Daddy juice is my husband's fav! I just wish that you could choose your pg/vg ratio and buy smaller quanties at Vaporescence! I asked him and he said it wasn't worth the trouble. Humph!!!
I LOVE James at DFWVapor!!! What a nice guy and it is awesome that you order one day and get it the next!!!

Ok, well I'm sure my dog's'll let me know when ya'll're here... I'll be the big dude with long hair and beard in the house full of women (Mom, aunt, sister, cousin, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and I'm the only male in the house)...
Although, my point was, I think I'll be busy with work this weekend, so I doubt I'll get a chance to do much as far as modding ... I've been trying for a week to find time to drill 3 holes and solder 2 or 3 connectors ...

Me and attys don't get along and it doesn't seem to matter where I get them from. I can blow up an atty on the first try! James turned me on to 510 carto's and I'm a fan. They're cheaper and last longer to boot.
