So at this point I have quite a bit of experience with drippers and genesis style atomizers, but I'm interested in trying a tank fed silica system (although I will probably use cotton if it works in these things). I want to try an atty of this type but I don't really want to drop $200 on a kayfun. Are there any other options? I have seen the dream bt804 and that seems interesting but I'm wondering if there are any other choices. I would prefer something that doesn't use NR wire because I have never worked with it and don't have any.

The one thing I have learned in the vape game is you typically get what you pay for. I bought a Kayfun mini and can't believe how much flavor and TH this thing can produce - better than anything I have tried or bought. Be ready to drop the nicotine level on this bad boy!

Instead of buying ten different low cost clones save your money and buy quality, you won't regret it.

The Terminator and the BT804 are the only silica-based tank devices I use. Something about the chamber that gives flavorful, rich vapes that "rebuildable" clearos like the Vivi Nova or Protank can't touch. The BT804 has the benefit of no need for NR wire but has smaller capacity, is a PITA the refill, and leaks if set on its side. I use the BT804 when at home with juice and towels handy. The Term C is my out an about device as it holds a sh--ton of juice.

I've been using the Smoktech Drunker Tank and the Smoktech Terminator. They are both much cheaper than the Kayfun and its ilk (The one I've been drooling over is the Taifun GT). The Terminator is a clone of the Killer 705 and I think the Drunker is an original design. I've been pretty pleased with both though I'm still learning.

The Kayfun is well worth the $. You can set it up with mesh/silica or even Xc116 ceramic. The Taifun GT is also well worth the money, I've got mine setup on 100mmx30mm mesh and is vaping like champ.

Kayfuns are usually readily available over at VapeRev. Taifuns are a different story.

Both great devices, both have pros and coins in my opinion. If they combined the two devices with the best from each, it would be a huge hit! :)
