This is even more "pocket friendly".

i really like my Igo-l - great atty...but I am in and out of my car and meetings all day long - dripping is not really an option for me even if the Igo will hold quite a bit more than standard 510 drip attys

Hello, I am new to vaping, but I leaning toward skipping all the usual steps and going for the ProVari, but the question is - is there anything better than ProVari out there? Also, what are the limitations of ProVari - does it have any? - in terms of what can be used with it, cartomizers, tanks, etc. Thanks.
I bought one two weeks after buying my first starter kit. Like you I mulled it over for a bit and tried to justify the purchase as "skipping all the usual steps". And lo and behold I was absolutely right in getting one. It fulfills all my vaping needs at this point in time and in to the foreseeable future. I have been tinkering with RBAs a bit and it works quite well for that. As I slowly master the whole RBA thing and progress towards SLRs I will worry about purchasing something to fulfill that need. But that is not necessary at this point. As soon as you hold your new Provari in your hand you KNOW you made a wise purchase. They are qua-li-ty! And they are made in America! I don't mind spending a little more knowing that some American worker gets to go home and feed his family dinner. And as for the one button thing, it is less stuff to break down. The more buttons, the more complicated the design. A greater chance for malfunction. And as for VW, different juices vape better and different temps so variable wattage to me is kinda pointless. I use "my preferred wattage" only as a starting point. Not as something set in stone. I shoot for around 7-7.5W and adjust the voltage up and down from there. The math is not difficult and, hell, there's an app for that.

Can you use ProVari to check resistance of a delivery system if it is not filled with liquid or is it a no-no, because it will burn it?
It checks the atty under load for the most accurate resistance. Most VV devices do actually. The ProVari uses a low power signal (under 2.9 volts) to check. You can check the atty without fluid in it. I always do before I fill it up. Don't want to waste e-juice on a bad atty!

One thing for sure, there is nothing better than starting a thread having anything to do with ProVari for getting an 18 page thread of arguing going.................
This thread has been extremely helpful and because of it, ProVari has two new customers. I ordered one and CandyTX ordered one.
