This is all I have tried. Any recommendations on what tank type setup to try next?

It depend on what you want. Do you want a higher capacity or just want to try something different? Do you want glass or plastic? Bottom coil or top coil?

The capacity of the mni is fine. Glass is good, but not against trying plastic if it comes highly recommended. Just looking to branch out and try something different.
If you have an eGo sized battery, and you're happy with the bottom coil mini Protank, you might want to try a top coil, such as the Mini Vivi Nova. You might like the more finished look of adding an eGo thread cover to it since it uses the 510 connector.
I have heard nothing but good thing about the bdc mini vivi tanks from nhaler. It's on my next tank list.

I've used cartotanks almost exclusively for over a year. They always provided me with more flavor production than clearos, which to me often muted flavors.
About 4 months ago my daughter asked for her own mod setup for her birthday. As a novice, I thought that clearos would be a better fit for her college lifestyle, so we auditioned the following clearomizers. Innokin iClear 30, Kanger Protank 1 & 2, and Vision Vivi Nova. Our concensus favorite was the iClear 30.
The iClear 30 has a higher juice capacity, dual top coils, 16 wicks, an adjustable mouthpiece, and comes in multiple colors (A big plus for my daughter who likes to match tank colors with the colors of her mods.). I've since been using a couple of iClear 30's in rotation with my cartotanks; their flavor production is only a hair less than my cartotanks. I also kept the Protank 1 and although a fine performer, it doesn't compare to the iClear overall.
Daughter's setup: Pink and purple AltSmoke BBs and iClear 30 clearomizers.

I stongly recommend the mini sub carto tank from mom & pops vapor shop. It has changed my vaping experience. I just posted here about them. No mess no leaking no dry hits super easy to fill & way better flavor than anything I've tried including the mini pro, pro tank 2, evod, (very airy) innok (no flavor to me) etc the m&p sub tank really make the flavor of juice taste awesome
Everyone will give you something different to try. My thoughts are try one of each and make your decision. Alot of people try knockoffs and say this or that is bad. Buy quality equip and judge for yourself. It really doesn't cost that much more and it's worth it in the beginning.
I'll second the above recommendations for the Aspire BDCs. Just got one earlier in the week and like the flavor better than my Protank II. Build quality isn't as nice though, and it's a plastic tank. The iClear 30 is also pretty good. Ikenvape's Fusion cartomizer is good too.
Id agree with a couple of other posters. Ive tried almost everything and other than high end RBA's that cost a ton, the cartotanks are the best all around performers. Try the pyrex version of the AGR cartotank. Thats a good one and it comes with a standerd and XL tube for a super reasonable price.
I use an eGo C Twist with a ProTank II, and I have a couple EVOD BCC... that's all I've tried but I love my setups
I agree with the iClear30 recommendation. They are super simple to use, and if you are not into rebuilding your setup just yet, the replacement heads are fairly easy to source. I have given these to new vapers, and they love the ease of use and the flavor that comes from the dual coil multi-wick set up.

The Aspire BDC is a pretty good one. If you don't like the plastic you can replace it with a glass or metal tank tube from the Vivi Nova or Mini Vivi Nova. You can buy just the tank sections also. Don't have to get the whole thing

We need more information regarding budget and if your only wanting to stay in the kanger, vivi nova style setup or move to rebuildables ect...
