Anywhere to buy replacement/additional stainless VAMO battery cap??

Hey guys,

Does anyone know where I can buy just a stainless VAMO battery cap? I have the issue with mine where the battery cap screws onto the 18650 mode body fine, but the threads of the cap must be wrong because no matter what, it does not screw onto the shorter 18350 mode body sleeve.

I know that the cap is the problem, not the body, so is there anywhere I can buy just the same stainless cap?

Totally! Love it. I bought my Vamo there even though their price wasn't the lowest the CS and fast shipping makes up for it. I got an extra spring for free from them but ended also buying an extra cap and other things.

You are the man, thanks!!! But can anyone confirm these are the exact same brushed stainless steel as the SS VAMO? I ask because when SmokTek sent me another cap when I first asked them for a replacement because of this issue of it fitting, they only had a chrome cap to send me, which of course is much shiner. It didn't sound like they had or would have extra SS ones to give/sell anytime soon.

My order just shipped today. Based on experience, I should have the new cap by Friday or Saturday. I'll let you know if it matches my SS VAMO and if in fact it did fix the heat issue.

Here's a pic of the new cap on my extension tube. I bought a new cap with spring and I also got the free replacement spring. I put that on my original cap.

No heat issues! Yay!


Three things I've noticed.

1. The new spring on the new cap is a little loose. So if you put it on the Vamo without a battery, you can hear it rattle. The new spring on the old cap doesn't rattle.

2. Aesthetically, the new cap looks cleaner/shinier possibly because it's new. Lol. The grooves on the outside seem further apart. I don't know if my eyes are playing tricks on me. It doesn't look chrome because I tried it on my sister in law's Chrome vamo and it looked less shiny on it

3. Threading was fine on the extension tube but a little rougher in mini mode. Nothing too concerning, IMO.
