I'm in! Sounds better than try to make it myself. LOL

Ive never used the nichrome. Anything I need to know about it? does it build the same?

Slightly less resistance than kanthal and it heats up quicker. For example on this 28g tiger wire I made dual coil 6 wrap on 2.5mm mandrel and it ohms out at .3ohms.

I used to buy different kinds of wire from Vapor Grudge, and tiger wire was by far my favorite. Watched a video last night about making it, and ordered a bunch of Nichrome 80 and flat kanthal... can't wait to try! I might even get adventurous and make some clapton as well... although that always took too long to heat up. But the nichrome should help with that. There are a few people that swear by Nichrome- I've never tried it.

So you wrap it just the same? I was just starting to want to try this but I didn't know where to start, right here it seems [emoji2]

Check out twisted messes on you tube for tutorials... that's what I watched. He's calm, thorough, and has nice camera equipment that can do macro shots.

This is my first go at nichrome and I am impressed thus far. and yes VG makes the tiger wire but IIRC they use kanthal. I think the nichrome 80 core is key on this wire especially when you go to 26 or 24 gauge.

I would like to get some roscoe [emoji4] My go to is 26g kanthal, 8 wraps on two 14g blunt needles. Comes out to .49 ohms. What size would you suggest?

Mindy is almost all I've used for over a year now, I twisted some up at a shop in about 10 minutes for the patrons hanging around, they were blown away that someone would take that much time, again 10 minutes. We'll I've checked back and every one that did a buil is still loving it. My all every day carry has a .8 single Mundy coil with readyxwick and will turn 1 year old in a month! Same wick, same coil, 6 ml of juice every day. I'm impressed

I had to do the math, 2 liters of juice 1 wick and coil

I think the 28g would suit you well.... 8 wrap on 14g should fall around .45 or so I'm guessing. I am working on making some Mundy wire as well. Kinda a learning curve on the MM wire though[emoji15]

And it can be used on my mechs right? Just wanted to make sure. I have never checked into this different wire before. Coincidentally, I happen to have another convo going on another thread asking about the TC wires.

Yep all good on a mech. I am following that other convo as well. I don't own a TC mod so anything I build is for mech stuff.

The standard clapton coils do take forever to hear up but use some nichrome wire in the mix and BOOM totally different.

The flavour increase due to fast heat up time and greater surface area. I've not revisited the Clapton yet but watching videos that stuff if done right is beasty. Still from all the videos if your a flavour chaser all I've seen suggest Tiger Wire

Oh good. I got a little confused on the other one. My fault because I have never done any reading up on the stuff.

Looks good! So its a flat wire that has been twisted upon itself? I have done twisting with two strands of kanthal and have always liked the results. This looks even better.

Nichrome is great stuff. I used to use it almost exclusively. Some people (IDK, 1 in 20?) get a sore throat from it. Best thing to do is to try a small quantity and, if a mysterious sore throat arises after vaping, discontinue. Otherwise, no worries.

Almost right, it is one normal wire and one flat wire twisted together :)
