No. Those slots are to keep the base of the atty cool. I put a .4 build in this one and atty staying cool so far.

Couple of quick observations....i squonked hard enough to cover the afc holes and no leaking whatsoever. This atty is also single coil capable.
Looks like it might be a little airy for me - can the flow be adjusted to somewhere around a 2 hole stumpy?
lung hits no problem. Airflow similar to derringer wide open. Flavor is really good. Still breaking in build so time will tell. I would compare this to the atomic in performance with a much better afc and more leak resistance.
Yes. I have been closing down where only 3 holes show and get a really nice mtl vape.

The lack of a 510 adapter is definitely a fail IMO. The bore inside the proprietary DT is approximately the same as a standard 510 wide bore. The DT being delrin would be easy enough to shorten.
This atty was intended to be used on Yeps hells gate mini mod and not for general consumption. I assume the DT was an afterthought.
kind of odd since it appears they made an adapter for the reg size.
It's not my ideal design but hey, it's 18mm, can do single coil, and can be closed down tight. I can work with this.

It's definitely not ideal but 18mm attys just don't exist. I am impressed though with the performance. chamber is really reduced so flavor should really come forward. If they would loose the bottom cooling fins it could be a whole lot shorter. We have been spoiled lately with all these super shorty attys.
