Yikes! Wow, man, lucky in the bigger scope of things.

When I was about 20, I had to have an operation on my knee (blew it out playing rugby). In the same ward as me was a guy who liked to hunt and fix cars. He had put some shells in the top drawer of his tool box. Weeks later, he was changing out some spark plugs, busted a knuckle, threw the wrench down in anger/pain/frustration, and set off one of the shells. The bullet lodged in his privates

get better soon man. that really sucks but you got lucky. i work in the firearms industry and i have seen a lot worse happen.

Exactly, firearms are out friends, but accidents can be deadly....My dad is a collector and he taught me early on.....[emoji6] As careful as he was, he had one go off by accident once. The bullet lodged in a chair that I had been sitting in moments early. I was pretty young and use to sit and watch him work on them alot. Shook him up worse than me. I carry, but am extremely careful with them.[emoji6]

The crazy thing is just how much force was generated by just a primer by itself. And in all honesty I got complacent. Using spent casings for a use they weren't intended made me treat them differently than if I was sitting at my reloading station. Lesson definitely learned[emoji15]

Being a reloader you may already know, soaking the primers in WD40 or oil will make them inert.
Hope you heal quickly!
Did not know about wd40! I would have a hard time trusting them though in the high heat situation I put them in.......especially now[emoji57]

Wow man, sorry to hear. Primer pop is not so bad. The metal fragments can make for a very bad day. Been reloading for almost 40 years. Heard of some crazy stuff but that's right up there! So did you tell the Doc you were making fire buttons for your squonker and one went off? Hope you do well!:)

Thanks everyone for the well wishes[emoji4] I am feeling better today. Hope to find a Surgeon who can get me in soon to remove the metal.

Back on topic.....any more suggestions for attys? Surprise attys have cleared customs and I expect to have them by weeks end. Hope to have em ready early next week.

Also my order of attys from a while back for testing should be here this week as well. I have high hopes for the Memphisto v2, the velocity, and the royal hunter.

Has anyone used a buhawi yet? Looks like it could be similar performance to the manta v2.

funny you posted about the buhawi as i was typing it
