I have 3 full size Nautilus Aspire. I just blew though 2 boxes of BVC 1.8 coils. Leaking and gurgling...all of them. I don't know whether it's the tank or the coils. I've tried everything... Every time I Vape I hear the gurgling. When I blow through the largest air hole holding the unit horizontally the juice keeps poring out and never stops. Could it be the rubber gasket on all 3 are shot? Is there a test to see if this is the problem or do you think it's the coils? I didn't even have this problem with the older style coils. I'm so frustrated. Any suggestions? Thanks! Below is the rubber part I'm taking about.

I bought two boxes. The five in box one are perfect, box two, did not work at all. My hub buys his cigs from a store that is mostly tobacco but has some vaping supplies - bad juice, cheap batteries and coils. I was with the hub, mentioned the bad ones, he let me bring them to him, he gave me a new box and said his vendor would take care of him!

I did throw one into vodka to clean it. Soaked it overnight, it looked awful gunky in there when I first put it in, came out looking brand new. However, the vodka has really tine threads in it now, There's the usual "gunk" I would see when I used to do the same with the old dual coils, but this is like tiny hairs. Odd.

Rip Trippers also noticed that the wick material seemed grainy, he called it "sand papery". Seems like the ceramic "wool" wicking material may breakdown. Leaves me a bit worried about what could make it into my lungs (although gotta be better than the cigs I smoked for 30+ years). Anyway, I think I will just use a new head until I can get some actual info on this.

Sounds like you got two bad boxes, contact Aspire and insist on replacements. Can't see anything in your photo to suggest it's the tank.

Aspire is now going the route that Kanger went to deter counterfeiting by using a scratch off security code that can be verified online...Which in turn has really put a crimp on unscrupulous vape shops and E-bay store fronts that were well stocked up the phony aspire products... I hope these measures work for Aspire noting that it worked well for Kanger and even restored peoples faith,to a degree, in kanger tanks and coils...Just my :2c:
It is great to have the scratch codes, unfortunately I see potential in clones still having a working code, but maybe not, all the products I have gotten have had proper codes. I am a vendor so concerned about not having clones that I would need to sell only a few dollars less than the original. And, it is true that some clones end up being just as good or better than the original. All about metal and wiring quality.

With the Aspire BDC, it is definitely a good idea to let it rest after filling for 10-20 minutes, and for some reason on the first half to full day there is some splatter that is reduced drastically by letting sit overnight and giving some draws without the fire button activated.

That is bizarre, I have had a Nautilus with a BVC coil in it since July 29th, I have had to change it once, I am still on the 2nd coil that seems to work fine still, tastes good but does take an extra second to heat up. Thinking a change to start next week! But it seems I get almost 3 weeks out of them. I changed the Nautilus BDC every week. I have also hit it with 13 watts and still no burn taste and I have never once gotten a dry hit from a Nautilus tank.

9 days on a full size Nautilus, 1.6R coil (supplied with tank), 60/40 Vape Dojo Zen juice 24mg, but with just basic VV eGo style batteries (including an eMOW battery). No leaks, no muss, no fuss, always a good hit. Bought from myfreedomsmokes and the scratch offs checked out. I just (yesterday) switched to the solid SS tank and it is also working well. I bought a 5 pack of replacement 1.6R coils but have not even opened it yet.

ETA: Only "complaint" is minor gurgling that is minimized or goes away with the largest air hole, and that is where I like it most of the time anyway. The gurgling is not nearly as bad as the bottom coil EVOD tanks I used previously, and the EMOW tank is about the same. Enough to notice but it doesn't bug me :)

I have only ever had the BVC coils gurgle/leak in my original Nautilus tank, not my minis. And then, it's always been my fault. Typically it happens if I "hoover" on the thing and flood the coils. The fix is easy, though not particularly graceful.

I invert the tank, cover the airflow hole with a paper towel, and blow up through the drip tip which forces the excess juice out the hole and, hopefully, into the awaiting paper towel. Then I reattach the tank and fire it at ~15 W for a few seconds to burn off a bit more juice. Then resume normal vaping.

In one extreme incident, I simply emptied the juice out of the tank back into the bottle and flushed the whole system with water and started over. It's not a common occurence for me, but it has happened.

I had a bad flooding/spitting issue with my mini BVC's at first. I was using a ego style battery. I changed it to a vv ego battery and cranked up the voltage and the problem seems to have gone away. I am waiting for my Vaporshark rDNA so I can finally get a good level amount of power to the coils. Maybe its my vaping habits that was causing the flooding by drawing to hard when taking the hits but the increase in power from the vv ego has definately helped my Nautilus Mini BVC..

1: Try to loosen the draw. The looser the less eliquid coming in
2:Try adding a little glicerin. Won't affect flavor
3:Keep eliquid in fridge in the summer. Viscosity is affected by heat
4:Roll up a little tissue, shove it down the chimney and invert the clearo. Or, remove the head and blow from the battery end onto a napkin
5:Go up voltage: it'll evaporate thin liquid more rapidly.

These coils like heat. I'm vaping my 1.8 ohms at 5V on an Innokin MVP. I don't have a DNA but I put it on an SVD at 5.5v and it's definitely working better.

It think people are getting counterfeit coils and blaming it on aspire. I've had nothing but great vape with the BVC in mini nautilus and the beyond vape silo.

A lot of ppl have the real coils that have been checked out on the Aspire web site. They still leak or gurgle. Could they be just bad coils or a glitch in their tank maybe maybe not.

Authentic Aspire Nautilus Mini purchased a few weeks ago... vaped for 5 minutes, then felt like I was drinking the eliquid... replaced the bvc coil with the spare in the box, same story.

Bought a couple of replacement heads, and got the same results. Gave the Aspire to my daughter a few days ago, and she bought a few more heads from a different shop, same result.

Eliquid we use is 80pg/20vg... not gonna be changing juices to suit Aspire.

Looks like Aspire have a major quality control issue.

Same issue here. Spitting juice out of top of tank. Have taken it apart, cleaned, air dried over night and then put back together with same issues. Tried a pack of 1.8 and 1.6. All checked on aspires web site for authenticity. Aspire offered for me to send the whole unit back to them to check for defects. But will cost more in shipping to get to china then the thing is worth! Looks like it's hit or miss.

Yep, I used it on IPV2 (7-16 watts), and on Itaste vv v3 _7-11 watts)... no vapour, just juice in the mouth, or a dry hit at 16 watts

Normally I would just move on to another tank. But that first coil was very good. Better than my kayfun for vapor production and taste. :/ wish we could find out how to solve this
