Yeah we went on a ski trip many moons ago, when I went to church. Nobody told me I absolutely need to wear sunblock, but I was fine...until the next morning when we had to pack and leave...but my face was so swollen I couldn't see. My mum had to pack all my stuff and my brother had to lead me around the rest of the day..trying to go to the bathroom was interesting.
Fell asleep topless sunbathing during spring break on South Padre Island, about 2 weeks before I left for Korea. 2nd degree burns over 90% of my body. Had to get an EKG as part of my physical, they used suction cups back then. I was literally mummified in gauze for a week. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I have scars on my legs from sun poison, way back in the day, at a softball tournament, I was the beer runner. Between runs, I would sit in the back of a friends truck and watch the games, 9am to 10pm. Around the 4:30 mark, I was too drunk to move, so I had to start to sobering up. By 10, I was good to drive the 8 miles home, but legs were so badly burned, I couldn't walk lol. I got some help getting to my car, made it home and in the house. The next morning they were purple and swollen so bad I couldn't stand up or touch them. Being from a small town, our local pharmacy hooked me up with silvadene burn cream and a few Tylenol 3's. It took me almost a week before I could walk.
That was 20 years ago, I haven't made that mistake again :)
Nope, that kind of nonsense only has to happen once! I love silvadene but I would way rather never have to use it, you know? :D

Ouchie! You're both making me so glad I've never gotten it on my legs, lol.
Like your face is any better?? I had some kind of allergic reaction on my face once and it drove me crazy. Wanted to chop my head off, I did! I think I would rather deal with my legs than my face. The worst part of my burn was that I couldn't wear shoes because of the blisters and burns on the tops of my feet. I finally got those little fuzzy footie things on after a week or 2 but I didn't wear shoes for almost a month!

Seleya, you can just see in your face that you are totally miserable.
I remember when I sunburnt my scalp, I will NEVER NEVER forget that pain and discomfort, lesson learned
Ohhhh yeah, that's incredible pain! I burned just where my hair parts and it got all swollen and throbby. I feel for you! :(

Which is why we need the canopy over the dogsled/Rascal set up
