Hi. Figure I should ask here before signing up on a random Mac forum. I have an older iBook G4 running OSX 10.4.11, which obviously is old. It's been running pretty slowly, some of the programs aren't running anymore, and the HD is full.
What I wanted to do is take everything off and put them on my external hard drive. My main question is with iTunes. If I take my "iTunes" folder from the Music folder with the apps, library, and album artwork folder; restore the computer and run the updates; could I possibly have iTunes run off two sources? So, I could have the internal HD with the stuff I use a lot but the TV shows and Movies would be on the external? And whether or not I have the external hooked up it just accesses it differently?
What's the best way to do that? My HD is full and with the computer being older, I really don't want to upgrade the internal. I really only use the computer for the internet, iTunes, and watching TV Shows hooked up to my TV; so I wouldn't want to pay much if any at all to be able to do that.
If you can help, that would be great! And if your solution works, I have a few bottles of juice I could send your way
Thanks!
