That may be correct, and if so, they wouldn't work. I was kind of thinking cartos because they are so much easier than the atty/cartridge combo, and looking for a tan carto. Do you think she would be OK with a black tip? If so, the Boge 510 cartos are a breeze to fill (that is what I use). I use the 2ohm ones on my eGo, but you would use the 3ohm ones for a standard 510.

My mom is the same way. You ought to see what I have to go through to set her up with a cell phone, and thank goodness TIVO came along...I had to program her VCR to record.

You have to ask yourself is your mother going to want to refill or not. If she will...if you can see her messing around with bottles and prying off the little plastic cap and dripping and judging it so as not to flood it and using a manual button...then a ego with cartomizers would be fine.

If you can see her putting up with atomizers breaking/ flooding / and using a bottle of juice and using the button...then a drip tip/ ego combo is fine.

However if you think the above will put her off then a kr808 would probably be better...you can get the smoketip unit for the battery warranty and get refills from vapor4life or any of the many dealers that have prefilled kr808's it is more expensive than refilling....BUT it cheaper than smoking in most states.

I can't see her doing any of that to be honest. I think the kr808 is the way to go for her definitely.

Thanks!

agreed. i got my mom an 808 because i know her, she just wasn't going to mess with filling and the like lol.

frankly i think new users should keep it as easy and as simple as possible until they see if they even like vaping in the 1st place.

i like smoketip alot, i wrote a fairly glowing review of them-

their batteries have a lifetime warranty. they may be a tad more $ upfront but your mom won't ever have to shell out a dime for a replacement. the less headaches that are involved, the easier she might take to vaping.

edit-i should add that their customer service is awesome, i've recieved replies to my questions within an hour.

xg4bx, I think your review and a couple others are what got me interested in the SmokeTip in the first place. Thanks!

Are they hard to refill though? Or don't you refill?

Anyway, that was a good, comprehensive review.

i've started refilling and buying blanks now, the prefilleds were just a tad too expensive for my current financial situation. however i have successfully refilled their prefilled ones. it's not hard to refill them, it just takes some time and there's a learning curve.
