Hello.

I recently ordered the Maxx Fusion Kr808d1 deluxe starter kit, should be arriving within the next few days.

Ive been reading posts on the forum here and have found tons of useful information.

Ive smoked analogs for the last 14 yrs (camel light 99's) and have never been able to go for more than a day without a cigarette. My goal is to eventually quit (nicotine) because I feel my addiction is more out of boredom and the need to be doing something (holding a cigarette, inhaling, blowing out smoke) so I'm hoping the switch to an e-cig will help.

I'm thinking I would rather get a liquid/juice instead of buying the pre-filled cartridges (save $ ?).

I'm a little confused on the different models and whats compatible, I'm sure once my kit actually arrives and I start using it everything will make more sense.

I'm already looking for suppliers of a liquid/juice that I can re-fill myself that will work with the Maxx Fusion kr808d1 model becuase Im planning on quitting analogs all together once my kit arrives and dont want to run out.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to ECF and vaping fullmoon!! I've heard good things about the Maxx Fusion and its battery life. There are several suppliers that carry replacement cartomizers and juice that you can use with any kr808d-1 model. A couple that come to mind right away are Vapor4Life.com and LiteCigUSA.net. You can buy the empty cartomizers that can be filled with any flavor of liquid that you choose. Most suppliers carry e-liquid that you can use to refill your cartos.

Parts and accessories are usually the easiest choices to make when starting out vaping. Picking flavors, nicotine levels, and suppliers for juices can be one of the toughest:) That one is trial and error for most vapers. One of the best ways to find what you like and what will work best for you is to buy an assortment of small samples of flavors and nic levels from different places. I wouldn't recommend anything over 5-10ml until you find what you like. Just because the label says Kamel or Marlboro, doesn't mean it's going to taste like that.

Congratulations on making the choice to switch to vaping. Good luck and happy vaping!!

Hi fullmoon,

I had exactly the same idea in mind that you did when I found the ECF. I purchased the Maxx Fusion, and I've been very happy with it. Based on what other members here have recommended, Backwoods Brew works great. The only issue with BwB is that many of their flavors--particularly the tobaccos that I am into, need time to steep after purchase. If you want to try BwB, you might think about ordering sooner rather than later, as they might need a couple weeks--in some cases more--to reach their full potential.

They are a 70/30 PG to VG ratio, and they work fine. I have refilled using them and have had no problems. I'm using a carto of their 555 right now. I also have tried their Virginia Tobacco and Maple Tobacco--and I have more flavors on the way.

I also have Freedomsmokes USA in 70/30 blend, and it works fine. If you go to order Freemdom Smokes juices, you'll have to look through them to find the ones that can be ordered in different blends of PG to VG. Their special blends are 50/50 PG to VG. I haven't tried them with Max Fussion Cartos, so I can say for sure if they will work or not. I know sticking to 70/30 assures me of juices that will work in my Bloog.

Finally, LiteCigUsa has Dekang juices, which are 100% PG and will certainly work. Their "Deuce" is a very interesting tobacco blend. You might consider them. They also RY4 from Dekang, which has proved very popular with many people, though it's not my fav.

The issue with the Bloog Cartos seems to be with juice that has a high concentration of VG, so keep that in mind when you are looking at different juice blends. Besides saving money, you'll get the chance to check out a TON of different flavors.

Enjoy your Maxx Fusion, and good luck kicking the analogs. I've made it a month and a half, and have no desire to

i'm too very new to this.I got just plain ol E cig.Nothing else,It has an atomonizer(SP)...the Battery(which looks like a cig lol) and the tip which has this Plastic nonsense thing you TAKE OUT and than screw the tip on..AND I notice the vapor is VERY light...and its suppose to have 400 puffs?
It tastes like I'm doing a Nebulizer ..LOL..i dislike.
I smoke Newport Lights/Or any menthol lights.
my reasons..to save money, and not stink like a cig.Any suggestions???
I also want to give up regular cigarettes..badly(for the above reasons). However,Sucking on a cig that does not produce enough vapor or give me satisfaction isn't going to work:(
I did get sucked into those TRIALS so I have to call Monday and send it BACK.I don't care, there is a restocking fee..FINE..I tried it and wasted money.(SIGH)..
I don't want to waste all sorts of money though.I am going to bite the bullet, buy a starter set,and I do prefer the ones with the juice since i"m hearing about it.
I am thinking the Juice brings more vapor???yes or no?
I'm full of questions lol...
usually I'm at the Kindle/nook boards(ebooks):)

Thanks everyone for the response!

I very excited to get my starter kit. I actually read that people were having a problem with ordering from MF recently (out of stock), I ordered my kit with an extra 5 pack of cartos on Monday 2/21 and got notification that it was shipped later the next day. My mom is a smoker (analog) as well and is driving to IL tomorrow because they are a lot cheaper in IL than here in WI. Normally I would go with and pick up a few cartons but Im really expecting the e-cig MF to do it for me...lets hope my expectations are not too high. Ive been spending about $45 (IL) and $60 (WI) for a carton and if everything works out I should be saving about 1/2, if not more, of what Ive been dishing out over the years.

*trouble2k* thanks for the info. Been reading through the posts for the last week and was afraid of asking redundent questions. After I posted this I came across a good thread that suggested vapor4life as well. Its easy to get lost in the threads and your advice was informative and straightforward so thank you.

*Mr. White* Im a little confused with the whole PG/VG....PG gives out more "smoke" and VG gives out more flavor, am I right? For me with smoking I feel its more the act of holding the cigarette, the throat hit and blowing out the smoke/vapor. I had read that the Maxx Fusion gave off a good hit/vapor and that the kr808d-1 was good for a starter which is why I ultimately chose them. I'll have to look more into the PG/VG blends. Thank you for your recommendations and congratulations on the month and a half!

*nancybout* Welcome. Sorry to hear you had some bad experiences. The reason why I went with the MF (Maxx Fusion) was because Ive read some good reviews of them, their battery life and that they also produce a good vapor/smoke. I was torn between the eGO (510?) and the MF (808) but decided on the MF/808 mostly because of what others had said about the amount of vapor/smoke it produces.

I was reading about "dripping" and am now curious about trying that.

I know that everyone has their personal flavor faveorites and suppliers and a lot of it is try it and see in the beginning. Funny I don't mind spending $6+ on a pack of analogs but am afraid to spend the $10 on a 5-pack of cartos or juice that I may/may not like. I see it as an investment though, might have to spend some $ in the beginning but in the long run will be saving and hopefully off analogs all together.

Was also reading how a lot of smokers, once they started vaping, dont even care that it has that analog taste to it, that many prefer flavors such as chocolate, vanilla, cappuccino and apple and don't even miss that...tobacco taste, which didn't even occur to me.

usually I'm at the Kindle/nook boards(ebooks):)

I started with an inferior starter kit and knew right away it wasn't going to get me off the analogs, then I heard about Bloog and ordered the MaxxFusion and a few of their prefilled cartomizers as well as some blank cartos, and I haven't been tempted to go back to analogs ever since. I also ordered a couple of samples from Halo at the same time I ordered my Bloog MF and they came at the same time and I was able to fill up a couple of my new blank cartos with the Halo juice and try it right away.

The Bloog cartos produce tons of vapor and I love the Red and RY4, but I don't know how satisfying their menthol is. Halo juice in my experience also produces a ton of vapor and great throat hit (TH), and I have read here that Halo has a few highly regarded menthol flavors and you can order a couple of 5ml samples for a reasonable price.

So my advice to you is to ditch the inferior ecig (which you are already doing), and try Bloog with a few prefilled cartos and order up some Halo (maybe the TruePure, Coolmist, and MentholIce). That should provide you with batteries, cartos, and ejuice that will give you good vapor production and TH and help get you confident in whether or not this will really work for you...
