Hi All
I m thinking about ordering one of these newly released Arctic Sub tanks as an upgrade to my Atlantis..features stated include better airflow, .2 ohm cotton coil/wick and a 2.5ml glass tank...
Does anybody own one of these?
I like to hear what you guys might say before I spend money on more vape gear...screenshot is of the tank and the coil beside it...I couldn't help to notice the long juice inlet on the coil...looks like we wouldn't get a dry hit with this rig..what do you guys think?

I got one of the Arctic tanks right before they all sold out in january. With the coil that came installed in it already i couldnt get any dry hits at all, not even at 70 watts, nor the second coil i put in. the third coil i put in did get alot of dry hits. the cotton was too condensed. so every coil isnt xactly the same which bothers me, but im going to rebuild them so its whatev (.2 ohm). The atlantis drip tip doesnt fit on the arctic, but that doesnt matter cause the arctic has a bigger drip tip for more airflow. The airflow is a little better than the atlantis. The glass isnt replacable (unless you break it and somehow find a way to put another one in). But you cant take it apart. The size of the whole thing is slightly smaller than the atlantis which i like. The coils dont have ceramic in them so i like the arctic much more. i like iiiiiit.

I think it would work slightly better, and I like that it uses organic. My thoughts are, it looks like it would wick better than the Subtank, as far as dry hits and more airflow, but how does that affect flavor? With the quad coils, x2 dual coils right....or even if it's just dual coils, I can't remember at the moment, but either way, I'm wondering if it guzzles juice faster than the Atlantis and/or Subtank. I think I might eventually check this out, but I think my next subohm tank is going to be the Delta 2. I've heard quite a few people say the vapor and flavor is better than the Atlantis and Subtank, and it holds quite a bit of juice if I recall correctly.

i heard that the delta 2 is really good, but doesnt give as much vapor as the atlantis. i go for clouds rather than taste and ml size. the flavor the arctic produces isnt as good as the atlantis, but its somewhat close. i dilute my elquid with lots and lots of pure vg. probably about 75-90% pure vg lol. as for how fast it goes through liquid....it goes through it fast. but since i dilute my shiz i dont spend very much money. i prob go through 8 to 20 ml a day

I only vape max VG juices myself, premium eliquid at that, where I usually pay $22 for 30 mls. I've tried lesser quality juice and while I'm not saying that you can't find cheaper juices that taste good, in my experience with vaping for a year now and after trying hundreds of different juices, "premium" juices, actual premium juices that is lol, not just because it states it on the bottle, generally taste better and are worth the extra dough. While I appreciate good vapor production, my vape has to taste good to me as well. I've found with a lot of these tanks, drippers even, whatever, there are only marginal differences. There's a lot of things other than the device itself that affect vapor production such as VG content, wicking, airflow, how one vapes, etc. I like it that these newer tanks and RDA's are coming out that produce good vapor AND great flavor. That's one of the reasons I like my Vertex v2 dripper.

I can't wait....I'm receiving 2 of these tomorrow. Along with a bunch of .2 & .5ohm coils. I want to compare it to the Delta II

Looking forward to your opinion on this. Do you have any other sub ohm clearos besides the delta ll to compare to as well?

Ok so I've spent a few hours with the tank and my opinions are just going to be quick because I want more time with this and use different juices, blends etc. Also, I'm far from an expert with any of this. With that said, This tank is a beast!! lol Right now I'm using the .5ohm coil(rated 30-80w) I've yet to try the .2ohm(rated 30-100w) but this thing is rocking along at 60w with no dry hits and the flavor is amazing! I went through 2 refills of one of my favorite juices called Oryza(rice crispy marshmallow treat). It's a premium juice from Wick & Wire. I'm about to try my second favorite juice, The Hatter(Flan Napolitano) by The Vaping Rabbit which is 99%vg.

PROS
Flavor is great. I'd say it's on par with Delta II maybe a little better since this tank gets a little warmer and can hit higher wattages & really brings out complex flavors. I do enjoy my Kanger Subtank Mini for certain occasions and flavors but I do prefer a warmer vape than those coils can handle.
Vapor production is amazing for a tank.

CONS
The only real con I can think of is the juice capacity. At these wattages & the size of the wicking on the coil, you'll be guzzling juice.
Other than that, this is just nit-picky annoyances....The drip tip supplied gets super hot at high wattages. It's just metal, not even delrin insulated like the Delta II. I just want to ask them, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!!? lol I'm actually using the Big Subtank's drip tip with the heatfins and a home made delrin tip instead.
Filling the tank is just as annoying as filling the Delta II. These chimneys are getting huge on these tanks.
Oh and the airflow is very good but I feel the Delta II edges it out a bit in that dept.

Anyways, if I think of more, I'll edit my post.

Just wanted to give those of you with this tank or planning on getting it, a heads up.... stay away from anything over 80vg. There's a lot of cotton in this coil head, as can be seen in the video I posted above. It doesn't not wick fast enough. I've tried both The Milkman 99%vg and a couple of juices from Audio Fog which are 100%vg. Both had either dry hits or the flavor just wasn't what it should be.
The Delta II seem to not have a problem though with these juices.

I will second that you should atleast go 80vg or lower, just went through my second coil in four days, saving them to atleast rewick/build.. But even though it has massive holes for wicking it doesn't seem to like max vg, I dont even chain vape all that hard but keep dry hitting and charring wick. While the coil is working it is still a fantastic vape, I'm just going to try a little thinner juice. Never had any trouble with my subtank mini or atlantis with same juices (and smaller wicking holes).

Got an arctic yesterday. What a tank! I'm really liking mine. It has a super long break in period with the coils though. It took 4 hours. Was starting to think I ruined the coil, then BAM... Vaping like a champ now! Starting with the dual coil .5 ohm head. Once I go through that one, I'm going to try out the .2 ohm head on a mech and see how the 90ish watts feels. I have all the kanger sub tanks, and the arctic fits right in! looks nice on my hotcig zero sx.

Break in seems to be a very under-rated concept, but I have found it really important with these huge, store-bought, replaceable subohm coils.
