Just as the title suggests... Are all batteries Lithium Ion?

LI batteries should have no memory or negative effects from charging at half full etc.

I bought a KR8 from myvaporstore. But I can't find any info on their site, other vendor sites or with a search here on ECF that explains what type of battery the KR8 uses.

I also bought the PCC for the KR8 and again do not know what type of battery it uses.

Any info is appreciated.:)

All the batteries used in any type of normal e-cig or mod are 'lithium ion'. This includes Li-ion protected and unprotected, Li-Mn (AW brand for example), and Li-FePo4. Also Li-Po square packs, although it is questionable if they should be used in consumer products as they are sensitive to impact damage leading to catastrophic failure (see the fire videos on the Battery Information page).

However we tend to refer to just the Li-Co type as 'lithium ion' or 'lithium', despite the fact they all are, and we don't call them Li-Co, but Li-ion instead.

As you say, they have no charge memory. They are damaged by taking them too low. Li-ion cells get about 150 recharges when used for an e-cig, Li-Mn and Li-FePo4 should get more. You can extend their life by recharging them before they drop too low. In other words, if you recharge them before the 'dead' light blinks, they last longer. The electronics package is one advantage that (protected) Li-ion's have over Li-Mn and Li-FePo4, which being a safer chemistry don't need protection for user safety, but lose out on some other aspects because of that, such as overcharge and over-discharge protection.
