I bought a pack to try since some seem to pretty enthused by them. I'm using them on a mod that uses a 16340 3.7v. Comparing it to my 510 and 801 on same mod, the flavor and TH is there, but lacks in vapor. So, like the way attys perform differently in the these 2 models, does the mfg of the carto have an effect too? I refilled one with my juice just to make sure it wasn't the factory stuff that was the issue, same results. So I'm thinking it's the atty portion that's the issue.

This discussion might help:
Are all KR808d-1 cartoz created equally?
In terms of flavor/juice, there's going to be a difference between standard Dekang prefilled cartos and the V4L prefilled cartos, but you seem to be asking about construction/performance.

I originally said (in that linked thread) that all of my standard-construction KR808 blanks were behaving identically. In theory they should, because (AFAIK) all KR808s are from Kanger and are the same model.

(The only exception I know of that is still called a KR808d-1 are the new cartos from Nhaler, which have a one-piece mouthpiece rather than the rubber ring + white plastic mouthpiece.)
(Edited to add: Looks like I spoke too soon -- LeCig.com seems to be sourcing non-Kanger batteries as well. Judging from Cielo's post in the first thread I linked above, LeCig's cartomizers are also unique.)

But now I'm not so sure that all standard KR8 cartos are alike, as one batch of blanks from a supplier seems to be burning/losing wicking power easily, and the wick seems to be receded from the walls of the cartomizer. Maybe they've been in storage a whole long time (not sure that makes sense), or there's some structural difference. Dunno.

Sounds like you bought prefilleds, though. The prefilleds always give me lousy vapor (and an undertaste I can't get rid of), even on top-ups, it seems. (I don't have a good explanation for this. It's just my baldfaced bias. :p)

Try a pack of blanks? Some of us KR8 fans swear by them.
