Does she really want to quit? What I mean is I might not have been successful a few years ago because I didn't really want to quit smoking. As I coughed more and began to see the negative effects, I finally wanted to quit but wasn't able to do so. By the time, I tried the PV for the first time, I so wanted it to work and it did. I have co-workers who got their PV but never really gave it a shot, they aren't at that stage of truly wanting to stop smoking. Some others quit from the first use cause they had been trying to quit and were so glad to find something that worked.
This is the key I think. A while ago, my wife and I both decided we HAD to quit. We both truly wanted to quit. We chose April 1, 2010 as our quit date. We knew nothing about e-cigs when we chose our quit date. As April 1 approached I saw an Internet ad for e-cigs and I ordered some. I tried them and I was relieved because I knew immediately that e-cigs would make it much easier. My wife tried them too, but she didn't like them nearly as much as I did. Not at first anyway. I told her not to compare e-cigs to cigs - compare e-cigs to NOTHING. Or compare e-cigs to nic gum or the patch. Comparing it that way, e-cigs seemed pretty good. Hell, e-cigs seem pretty good to both of us even compared to cigs NOW.
BUT, we both quit on April 1 and we haven't looked back. Now I'll freely admit that we're both just as addicted to e-cigs as we were to cigs. BUT, we are no longer inhaling smoke, carbon monoxide, etc.
The key is you gotta be ready to quit before this or anything else will work.
