I would HIGHLY recommend the Halo Triton and the Menthol Sample Pack.

It's not the cheapest system out there, but this is for mom, right? It's a very high quality ecig, the batteries last a LONG time for their size, and it's probably the easiest ecig out there to use. Very, very little maintenance required (once in a while either clean the tank and clean or replace a coil is about it) and refilling it is as simple as unscrewing the drip tip at the tip, pouring liquid in to the full mark, and then screwing the top back on. It will hold a full days worth of liquid for most people so there won't be any changing carts or refilling in the middle of the day hassles.

$65 for the starter kit and $25 for the sample pack of menthol juices.

Halo has some good menthol flavors, and easy-to-use, high quality devices.
The only downsides are:
Not cheap
Not compatible - you can't go shop for a different clearomizer or something.
Starter kits from Halo

Actually the Halo is probably the MOST compatible eGo styled ecig out there.

510 threaded ecigs can only take 510 threaded gear.

But 808 threaded ecigs can take a ring adapter converting them to 510 threading, so they can take all 808 and all 510 threaded stuff.

You can get the same thing as a Halo Triton by getting a standard ego battery and a Kanger T2 clearo....you would save a bunch of money...and you would have a battery that's compatible with everything else. I have nothing against Halo (I started with that kit), but if I had it to do all over again, I would have started with a regular 510/ego kit. All of my Halo batteries are now sitting in a drawer because they are not compatible with almost everything else.

Here is a better starter kit.
Kanger EVOD eGo Full Kit - Vaping Me

Sorry, I can't help with menthol...never was a menthol person.

Like I said...

That's all you need to use every 510 part on an 808 battery. They cost $4.

Shame you spent all that money on Ego batteries when all you needed was a $4 adapter.

I'm probably about your mom's age - I have the Halo Triton and quit a 40 year smoking habit with the help of the Triton. There is nothing complicated at all about the Triton system, if I can do it, anyone can. They come in any color she could want, are small enough to carry in your purse, the charge lasts all day and then some. The kit comes with two of everything you need and one charging set. I didn't smoke menthols, but a lot of people love the assortment of Halo menthol juices. If she's not ready for the tank system of the Triton, then take a look at the G6, also from Halo. Many of the parts interchange with the Triton system when/if she wants to upgrade. There are lots of good systems out there, whether she goes with Halo or not, you are doing a GREAT thing for your mom. She won't believe how seamless the switch to vaping can be. And you will get to spend a lot more time with your mom around. Nice job!

Actually you would need an 808 to ego adapter...and I have one...but they are hard to find in stock.

Even with that adapter (which looks ugly), I have 7 halo batteries that I just don't use anymore. I'm not trying to diss Halo (I used them for 6 months), I'm just trying to pass along my experience.

I am an "old" mother and smoked Virginia Slim Lights forever. I started with a kit from Greensmoke.com and just ordered the Halo system (hasn't come yet). I am not at all mechanically inclined so figured something I just could screw together made the most sense for me. But now I am getting a little adventurous. I have tried a few disposables, also a V2 that someone lent me a while back, plus the Greensmokes, and nothing really has the taste of a cig to me, but the PROCESS of vaping, plus the nicotine hit, has been enough to keep me happy and away from "just one more pack."
