Are cig looking PV devices only for the entry level?

I’m curious on how many vapers stay with a cig looking device, rather than moving on to a mod?
Once I figured out the best KR808 brands, I’ve been pretty happy with them.
Does anyone stay using Bloog, Volt or Elite over the long term or are these devices just a step toward a mod?

I think if it works for you and you're satisfied you dont need a mod. Whatever keeps you off ciggs and happy.

I moved onto mods for higher voltages and battery life. I use a mod that lasts me 4-5days with two fresh charged 18650's and is also variable voltage. It works perfect for me with a tank on top. YMMV

I think lots of people do stick with them... However, those probably aren't the people you'll find on this forum.

Agree with silentt, if you're happy, stick with it. But, not to say that you aren't welcome here, if you're happy with what ya got, there's not much reason to hang around here. This place is full of junkies looking for that next better hit! I should know, I'm one of them!!

i'm sure allot of people do stick with them, it is prob because that have not found ECF...Yet!!!, I think the people that were social smokers and convert to vapers or the people who would only smoke a cig here and there would be ok, but a reg ex pack a day junky like myself needs a vv mod for batt life and voltage adjustment to satisfy cravings...

I moved on as soon as the eGo came out...the batteries in the little ones were always running out and they didn't give me near enough vapor. Plus it seemed I had to refill it or drip on the atomizer constantly. Too much trouble if you want to vape all day.

Still on my ego's although I have switched to clearomizers...seems to be more consistent vape with less refills and without the leaking problem I've had with ego-T's.

I saw a poll about this topic and at the time it was about even, stayed at cig sized vs moved up to bigger battery.

I stayed with the 808 for at least 6 months then got an ego sized Elegant. Still use my 808's and my Rivas (and my mini copper). Not sure why some are so insistent that I should want to stop using them... it works for me...

You seem like you might enjoy a Smoketech DCT on your eGo.

I started off with a v2, moved to bloog. For me it was a matter of convenience. I like only having to fill a tank only a few times a day and being able to use a battery for a long period without recharging. I now use eGos and will probably move to mods once I get acclimated.

Everyone who treats this as a hobby rather than just a habit tends to be on the lookout for a good vape. Just like you might buy a name brand computer when you first are interested in them, you move on to buying parts and putting one together yourself, or buying a high-end machine. You can check your email on both, but the high-end for things the other can't. This is just like PVs. You start with something you can use quickly without issue and does what you need. After awhile you want to do more with it until you can't do anymore without upgrading.

What would you all consider as a good next step for me from the Bloogs?
I'm hooked on BWB tobacco flavors, if it makes a difference.
I'd appreciate the advice. Maybe I'll go with a mod to use at home, at least to start.
Thanks!
Depends on what you want...
--Longer battery charge
--Less juice refilling
--More power

Or some combination of the above?
Or all of the above?
:)

Personally, if it were me, knowing what I know now I would want more power.
Because tobacco juices really seem to shine with more power behind them.

The Epower and kGo are both quality bigger battery PVs that give a great vape and are very affordable. The eGo is also popular, but personally I thInk you'd be better off with an Epower or kGo. The eGo is only 3.3-3.4V, while the Epower/kGo are true 3.7V devices. 3.7V PVs provide alittle more "oomph" than an eGo and more importantly handle the lower resistance attys and cartos a lot better.
The Epower and kGo are very similar in size, price, and battery life. The main difference between the two is that the EPower uses non-proprietary batteries while the kGo uses proprietary batteries.
I have an Epower and love it. If you like the idea of mOds, but don't want something that's expensive with all the bells and whistles, then the Epower would be a good device to start with. Technically it is considered a tube mod, since it does use removable non-proprietary batteries like all the other mods, but at the same time it's really not like most "mods" bc it's an "eGo type" device just like the eGo and kGo.
The "eGo type" PVs are a great place to start for a newbie that's looking for their first bigger battery PV because their not overly complicated, their very easy to use, and they give a very nice vape with much better battery life than a slim ecig.
I chose the Epower bc I really like that it uses non-proprietary removable batteries. Epower batteries cost $4-5 compared to eGo/kGo batteries that cost $14-20, and the Epower batteries last longer before they need to be replaced. Epower batteries are 1050mah and on avg I get a day to a day and a half on one battery. I also chose the Epower bc it's much easier to carry a spare for it. The Epower batteries are small (about the size of a AA but alittle longer) so its easy to throw an extra in your pocket or bag and if needed unscrew the switch and pop in a fresh battery. With proprietary battery PVs like the eGo and kGo, to carry a spare battery you have no choice but to carry a second PV with you. The other thing that i really like about the Epower is that everything is replaceable on it so it's cheaper to maintain. With the eGo/kGo, it's one unit. So if the switch fails or you need to replace a battery, you have to replace the entire unit everytime. With the Epower though, everything is seperate and can be bought individually. So if a switch fails you can buy just a switch for $10, if a battery needs to be replaced you can buy just a battery for $5 and continue using your existing tube and switch.
That being said, the kGo is also a quality PV, even though it uses proprietary batteries. The batteries are 1100mah so they last a long time as well and most people can get a full day on one battery.

I think your def be happy with an Epower or a kGo, so I don't think you could really go wrong either way. They both give a great vape, and will have a LOT better battery life than any slim ecig that your using now

I started with a V2,, slim cig style,, moved on to an Elite. Still an 808 but a tad bigger and the battery life is about twice that of the V2. I've since moved (again!) to a KGO (thanks mynameisrob!) I use my KGOs most of the time but I still have the V2 and the Elite hanging around, and still use them too occasionally. I don't think I'll ever go the mod route.. I guess because I'm perfectly happy with what I have.. I even think I'd get another KGO.. that's how happy I am with that one!

been vaping a little over a year. still use joye 510 and the ego, when I started I got a kit of each. I mostly use the joye 510, I use the ego to drip with when I'm on the computer (near my liquids)

I am starting to want a mod (reo, vmod?) but I'm not sure how much I would use it. I think I want one for a "just in case" thing (in case they are banned, in case they stop making them). I just really like the smaller ones.

although I have resisted so far, being on this fourm makes you want things! I often have to remind myself that if I don't know what something is then I don't need it.

oh and PS, I hate cartos and still use an atty (with a clear tank cart)!

I do have a very inexpensive home made box mod but I still use and enjoy my original cig size PV.

Being here is a lot more than just trying to find your next best thing to buy. I and I am sure lots of folks are here for the support we happily give and get. The vaping community is much more than a bunch of junkies looking for the next best thing and I am sure we don't want to be seen as being only that.
