Like I said, I love this thing. I'm really proud of my purchase. But hearing this kind of thing from a friend makes me hesitant to use it in public. More specifically at work. I have absolutely no problem using it at home, or in the car, but if I pull this thing out in front of my co workers I feel that I'm gonna get slammed with negativity. And it's because these mini flashlight looking devices are largely unknown, and people don't understand what they are. I'm actually afraid to break it out in front of my dad. He thinks the only way to quit smoking is to quit cold turkey. He gave me crap when I was using the patch a few years ago. If I bust this thing out in front of him it'll just start a huge argument. It's just a deflating feeling. I know I'm doing something good for myself. I know the absolute best thing to do would be just to quit smoking/vaping altogether, but that's almost impossible for me. Or that's how I feel at least. I just wish people could have an open mind and be supportive.

You can't change other people's reactions to what you do or say. You can only change your reaction to what other people do or say. In my 64 years I learned that the hard way. Don't give other people the authority to make you feel inadequate, no matter who they are. Of course you want your parents to be proud of the decisions you make, but it doesn't always work out that way especially if you know you've made a good decision they don't approve of.

Ecigs are not hipster, but hipsters have a lot to like about ecigs. Ecig users are free-thinking individuals deciding for themselves, through thoughtful research, what is best for them, whether the establishment (FDA, local govt., private business) likes it or not. Ecigs are counter-culture....for now.

Could you please provide a senior citizen (very senior) with a definition of this word that all you psuedo adult people throw around?

Very much appreciated.
