Uncle Sam will take care of that too, 5card, as soon as we run out of gas. They're working on that now, I believe. Yeah, be careful not to run into someone, that's also BAD.
Reminds me, I better make sure my client's chair legs are screwed on tight before she comes for it, or I'll be classified as a deadly weapon. She's hefty....too many twinkies?????? NOOOOOO, not the twinkies.

The mayor of the City by the Bay, according to this morning's paper, has issued an executive order banning soda containing sugar from all vending machines on city property, and limiting diet sodas to 25% of the stock in the machine.

The directive encourages "soy milk, rice milk and other similar dairy or non-dairy milk." juice is permitted as long as it is 100 percent fruit, and vegetable juice cannot include added sweeteners.

Pass the pot brownies, but drop that soda - Washington Times

The mayor is running for Lt. Governor.

Politics gone wild. Stop the World! What the heck washes down a pot brownie better than a Pepsi. Pot 'O tea??? Well, just gotta keep up with the times, I guess.
That guy sounds freaky. Probably well loved in City by the Bay. Didn't they just have an earthquake this morning? You'd think he'd be getting Religion pretty soon, and stay out of Government work, seems like an Omen to me.

This guy is not a very smart politician. You don't ban this stuff, just tax the heck out of it. If you have a bottle of pure fruit juice in the machines for $1.25 while the cost of that coke is $10 and the diet coke is $7.50, you have options. Of course, you have to stop people from just going to the store and picking up cheaper alternatives so tax the soda across the board. You can say the new taxes are for health education programs and to cover the increases in the cost of insurance due to obesity.

Then go out and do some road repair or build a bridge with the money. Sound familiar?

The mayor hasn't issued an outright ban on sugary beverages yet, but the trend should be disturbing for all San Francisco-based Coke addicts.
Oh, please, do it Gavin. Please!
I want you to set an example for the rest of the country.....so we know where things are headed.

Someday soon the government will be able to mandate that we eat three servings of fruits and vegetables every day or get a fine. :toast:

One definate result from this new legislation will be the disappearance of all beverage vending machines. I mean, who is actually going to purchase soy milk, rice milk, etc., from a vending machine ? There is a reason those items aren't currently vended.

If I was a vending machine owner, I'd be upset ...

I don’t know, Guns could be a Medical Device.

When I was growing up, some new people moved in down the road. They had this dog that would hop their fence and come into our yard and tear everything up. Got into trash cans, dug holes, crapped everywhere, etc.

Anyway, my dad talked with the dogs owners but they didn’t seem to care much. So he told them if they didn’t take care of it, he would.

They didn’t. So he did. He put 165 grains of lead in the dog’s ear and you know what? That dog never got into our yard again. In fact, that dog didn’t do much of Anything anymore.

So yes, I think a gun can be a Very effective Medical Device.
