I use AW IMR's and Panasonics exclusively. I take good care of all of my batteries. My old Trustfire charger always charges them to about 4.18V or so. I also have a 6 bay xtar charger, and I notice that the batteries come off at 4.3V. I always take them off of the charger as soon as the light turns green. Is 4.3V too high for a freshly charged battery? Is there reason for concern?

Yes, 4.3v is too high. First, ensure you are using a reliable voltmeter. Then try switching channels. On the Xtar WP6, the odd numbered slots are on one channel, the even number slots are on a second channel. So if slot #1 is charging high. Try charging in slot #2, 4, or 6; or vise versa. If both channels are high, Replace charger.

Just to be sure, I changed the battery in my multimeter since I read that a low battery can produce wonky readings. All is well now. My batteries were not overcharged after all. Thanks again, folks. I was really panicking...
Yes, indeed. It happened to me three weeks ago. If the DMM battery is low my meter indicates higher than actual voltage. There is a tiny little low power icon my DMM display but I didn't notice it at first.

Related: DMMs that use the standard old-fashioned 9V battery with snap-type terminals are still the best. Some of the new, cheap DMMs use tiny cylindrical 9V batteries. These things are the pits. They don't last long and these batteries cost nearly as much as the cheap DMMs that use them.
