I've tried a lot more e liquids that were terrible than I thought were good. Leads me to the conclusion there must be some skill involved with mixing a decent e liquid. So, I've gone back and forth but I definitely don't feel like I've been taken advantage of. And if someone gives me bad customer service then I take my business elsewhere. Vote with your dollars. If they continue their horrible customer service, then it's doubtful they'll be in business for too long.

Be thankful we live in a free society where you can choose to buy premium, buy budget, or DIY. Make a choice. Obviously OP has decided that the premium isn't really worth it any longer.

So is making one's own meals and beverages, but restaurants and coffee shops are everywhere...

I'm sure I could make an e-liquid I could vape, but why? I prefer the convenience; just like I don't maintain my vehicles; I go to a mechanic... Convenience is far more important to same than money.

It is like those on my travel forum who don't stay in the center and spend half of their trip on public transportation...

like ive repeated constantly, making eliquid is not hard. how much more convenient is it to some people to just buy one bottle rather than two and mixing them together? its something that takes less than 5 minutes... and not a craft that takes lots of time to learn like being a mechanic or a good cook...

maybe its convenient for you then by all means keep doing it, but you were flat out wrong and rude for insulting someone else and making it out like hes dilusional in thinking his 'home brews' are better than 'any commercial eliquid', because that statement is flat out wrong and ignorant.

Perhaps you just haven't had good commercial e-liquid, or you don't have a very discriminate palate...

making ones own liquid isnt difficult, plenty of recipes around to follow from, but to mass produce and sell isnt easy or cheap. There are so many things involved in manufacturing, most people dont even have an idea as to what it takes to do so... if they did they wouldnt be fussing about the price of juice being 40$ for 100ml....

perhaps you just havent had a good DIY eliquid?

I've had both good and bad commercials just like I've had both good and bad DIY. The good commercial eliquids I've had arent worth it to me because I can make my own eliquids just as good, have a bigger supply, and mix it when I want it and have it exactly when I want it. That is convenient to me.

And yes my palate is fine sir, I cook on a daily basis and rarely eat out, and drop my extra money I save on craft beer on a weekly basis.

Then it takes some skill to have good DIY e-liquid, as it takes skill to have good commercial e-liquid...

whatever floats your boat man, if you think it takes a genius to mix eliquid. I sure as hell dont think I have skill or doing anything special, i mix crap from flavor bottle A into Nicotine bottle C. If I mix Sugar cookie with Vanilla I get Sugar Cookie Vanilla, someone give me a PhD in eliquid making.

Obviously OP has decided that the premium isn't really worth it any longer.

To be fair, OP was expressing frustration at the price and lack of customer support for said price. OP expects decent customer service for the price he paid, and absent that, find DIY to be a reasonable solution.

But he also thinks $40 for 100ml is 'premium'...
Shrug. I've tasted their stuff, and remain silent on it. They have a big following. We all have different tastes.

And I think that's what this whole mess centers around - different tastes. I don't mind coughing up a bit more money than some for juice I enjoy. Others take pride in doing it themselves and saving a few bucks. Shrug. To each his/her own.

Good for you. Not sure why you would pay that much for juice you can make for $2...
Because there is still a business behind it and I do understand the need to make profit. But not when you are price gouging to extreme proportions because it's "Cheaper then Smoking".

And if my memory serves me right, you really like Halo. Did you know I can get 30ml bottles for $10 and 7ml for $3.50? Customer price and wholesale prices are obviously two very different things.

Their Triton system is priced pretty outrageous as well. Welcome to 2012 hardware prices I guess.

Has anybody wasted their time watching the stupid video from Nicoticket? It was sent out to subscribers to receive a free coupon for a 60 ml bottle of juice.
Some tripped out Rastafollion gives his opinion of a juice, then has you jump thru hoopes to get a coupon sent to you in a month.
Clark is certainly not just vapeing to approve such stupidity. I am now for sure going to grap one of those nock off DIY receipts and mix up my own juice.

Don't be butthurt because you misread the email. It's a contest. Go look at the thread you started about this subject. There are plenty of people setting you straight.

I think the answer is a clear yes, but I'd love to hear what you all think. I truly want to be wrong.

I just had a dreadful experience with my favorite premium vendor...let's call them Feather's Feavenly. You would think that paying $40 for 100mil of juice would get you customer service along with it. But I'm finding that many of these places give the same service as you would get from a pharmaceutical company. And much in the same way- we need them more than they need us, and they seem to know it. I'm just starting to realize how backward this dynamic is.

I know there are exceptions to this, and are some good and caring vendors out there; but then we go to the price. Can these prices really be justified? I'm starting to see why people make the switch to DIY.

Does anyone else get this constant feeling that they have us over a barrel and are taking advantage of our need for juice? I for one, do.

So I've been vapimg for a year now... and the complaint of juice prices has not changed,
Its basic economics of supply and demand, you complain, you pay, they make money, complaint continue.

They can charge whatever they want and so long as someone buys its just fine, again supply AMD demand.
Would you prefer the fed regulate it?
didn't think so
If its not worth it to you, learn to DIY or find something you are happy with paying. Its really not complicated.
Killer-juice, has a fairly inexpensive solution to DIY if you're interested in learning.

Furthermore the statement of 'we need them'. Ummmmmmmmmm... no one needs any of them, I DIY I still buy some liquid here and there, some cheap some not so much, but I don't 'need ' any of them.

Really struggling to see what sort pg customer service you got, last time i ordered juice I clicked a few boxes on a website and waited for the mail.
There was no customer service,
