Hello & welcome! Congrats on your first 5 days of vaping:toast: to answer your question...

Yes! The first rule of vaping is to have backups & backups for your backups. You never want to be in the position where you're tempted to buy a pack of cigs because you forgot to charge your battery or it dies on you. Please get a backup as soon as you can. Especially if you only have one battery.

I would say YES. If all you have now is one battery you need at least one more. Otherwise when, Not If, your one battery runs out of charge, or fails which can happen at any time, you can switch to the other battery. Otherwise without a second battery once that one battery runs out of power, or fails, you might find yourself smoking a analog while that battery charges up.

Extra batteries are always good to have on hand. My daughter works, and carries a spare battery with her to work - just in case. Last week, she had the top of a battery - not the clearo, but the part that attaches to the clearo - come off the battery while it was in her pocket at work. We have a couple of spare batteries each, so it was no big deal, but I immediately ordered her a new battery, since I do not trust that one any more, even though she was able to get the top back on and it seemed to be working. You never know what will come up, and spares are always a good thing to have on hand.

You can't have too many batteries. I have about ten mods, with at least three batteries for each one of them.

True story: About 4 weeks into vaping I allowed my only two batteries run down without charging them, and got a nicotine craving real bad. I felt that I couldn't wait for the batteries to charge, so I get into my car around midnight and drive to the gas station to buy a pack of cigarettes.

Good thing is, by that time my taste buds had begun to heal, and that cigarette tasted like :censored:. I became nauseated and couldn't take more than a few drags, and ended up throwing it and the pack away.

Would've been better off, and cheaper, to have bought a Blu or something... :D

I 2nd the old adage...backups for your backups. If you are a serious vaper you will need at least 3 batteries. It's very easy to go thru 2 batteries during a long day at work or just out and about. Or you could drop one and break it, or dunk it in a cup coffee, or take it up on the roof while hanging xmas lights and watch it do a half-gainer with a twist on the way to the driveway below. I only list theses things because...well, I've done them. You just never know when a battery will fail, either due to breakage, stupidity, or just plain age.

It can also be advantageous to have several batteries as they can lose the ability to hold a charge after X amount of charges. So if you have 5 for one pv you can rotate them which in turn extends the battery life span. I am at a rate around 3 weeks before I use the battery I now have in my pv and once it heads for the charger, then it waits anxiously to get used again.:D

I would say buying a pass - thru is a great piece of inexpensive hardware to have also. With it you plug it into a usb port in your car or at a computer and you screw your atty onto it. They have adjustable voltages, I have one and it does come in handy once in a while, later on when you learn to build new coils, you can dry fire on them. buy a decent one...:2c:

Agreed. A passthru is good to have around. If your battery dies you will still have that passthru waiting in the car or at home.

get yourself a 1300 mAH vision spinner battery for a backup ( it will last you at least a whole day on a charge ), then get an extra charger for your car or work and always carry at least 5ml of juice on you along with what's in your tank. The problem with vaping is that there are many more variables than cigarettes and they aren't as convenient to aquire. I could probably add that you should keep an extra tank and some coils in your car also. It's always when you're out and about when everything falls apart.

Grimwald and JulesXsmokr make a good point about the pass-through. I have an itaste MVP and it is awesome on battery life and I can vape it while it's hooked to a charger also. Plus it has a USB port to charge other devices

Happy Vaping and may you never run out.
