Yes, spare batteries & even devices!

I have an ego style 1100mah passthrough battery, plus an Astro clone, with 2 batteries, plus now have bought a good charger. Saved the old one (a TrustFire) in case the Efest LUC V2 goes bad.

And I also have an extra charging cable for my passthrough, plus a car charger for when on the go.

Devices, batteries & chargers, one needs.

Sounds like everybody thinks its a good idea to have backups..lol....well, me too. I actually have my original EVOd kit which came with two of everything....and two high powered devices with 4 18650s and two 26650s......and a couple of mech mods...with a few 18350s and more 18650s......and......a Buzz Pro with 4 little guys and an MVP 2. That being said, I also have 3 different chargers. I am NOT smoking again. But you dont need all that...folks above gave great advice...invest a little...its worth it!

You already have your answers but I just wanted to welcome you to ecf. I absolutely love this place and have met some pretty wonderful people here too. Good luck to you and happy vaping. Look forward to reading posts about your vaping success.

I agree with back-ups to back-ups. I've only stopped smoking for a little over 3 months mainly because my first starter kit with 2 ego 650 mah batteries in rotation didn't provide enough cover for the whole day and I would wind up reaching for a cigarette at night. If you total up all the money you spend on cigarettes a week it would probably still be more expensive than buying an extra battery anyways (at least for me it was).

Hi Amy, hope your getting a good deal from the UK site your using. If your going for an ego/evod type then yes your going to want your kit to have a least 2 batteries.

Didn't you say you had an eGo already in a previous thread?

If you have an ego and are buying a new device then you can use your eGo as a backup for now. you will be able to put any 510 or ego thread tank on it.
But if you only have the one battery then yes, you need a backup.

Okay... So I'm kinda getting that I need spare batteries lol :) I carry a portable charger around with me and thought that might be enough but didn't think about the battery failing on me! So thanks for the advice as always :) I will be purchasing one today! I'm using a starter kit with a 650ma battery and a dual bottom coil tank. Can anyone suggest a good battery to buy that's not very expensive? Thanks :)

Also the shop I bought my stuff from wasn't great with explaining how this all works and what I need to do in regards to changing parts and etc. I think They wanted a quick sale and told me that the kit would last me a few months. At the time I wanted to quit smoking asap and didn't do my research which I would normally! After reading some of the convos on here I can see that you need to replace the atomisers and all different bits and pieces. Does anyone know of a website I can go to that gives me the low down on how to do all of these things? Thanks :)

This is quite good at explaining everything for a beginner. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3706-4-good-starters-setup-beginning-vapor.html Credit goes to Baditude.
and this one also a Baditude guide. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3230-1-proper-terminology-carto-tank-what-guide-juice-attachments.html
Also I like to look at things being used before I decide if I want it. So I look here to see if there is a video review of what I am thinking of getting. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCShPX44-EC3HtvKohu3Ws4A. he is pretty funny a well if you watch some of his rants.

Check these out and youll be a pro in no time.:D

P.S my local store cant even tell me if a battery I wanted to buy was protected or unprotected. I had to explain to them what the difference was. They were the ones giving me advice 3 months ago.

To quote Dexter's sister;

Abso.^%^%ing lutely!

Get backups for your backups and dont leave home without a spare carto/clearo head and an extra bottle of juice.

My Phiniac tanks are night indestructible but lately Ive been taking a spare with me as well.

I found a nice little black nylon zipper case that hooks to my keyring and holds an extra 18650 battery, a carto, a 10ml bottle of juice and spare tank and drip tip.

Yes I would definitely recommend having a minimum of 2 batteries. You don't want to run out of charge and end up being tempted back to smoking again. Your kit SHOULD last you a couple of months, but you can never be sure with ego batteries so it's sensible to have a spare or 4 in case it breaks down.

You CAN save money by vaping instead of smoking, but for the first couple of weeks you need to allow for stocking up on all the things you need.
