I think the question in this thread is are expensive juices worth it.

On the MBV issue I cannot say yet for me as I have not tried them yet.

On the issue of is it a good value, I don't know yet either.

What I am going to do if find out at least for my tastes will I like it just as well as an expensive juice.

Value does count but what got me to place an order was some posts that said it was just as good and the expensive places were a rip off and I saw posts that raved over how good it is.

I know taste is subjective. I just want to find out at least for my tastes is it every bit as good as the stuff I have been buying.

If the more expensive product if sufficiently better than a lower priced product I will go the more expensive route, if it is not sufficiently better I will not go the more expensive route.

Im not rich, but I mean Im comfortable enough to buy what I want, and assuming almost all of us are coming from being addicted to smoking, I smoked a pack a day, maybe more, cigarettes are 7 bux and some change here, which put my monthly expenditure somewhere around 250$...I dont spend maore than maybe 30 bux a month on juices and I still have way more juice left than Ive vaped. So unless I start spending 250 a month Im still saving. Even if you smoked a third of that and bought twice as many juices youd STILL be saving money, so the cost thing I dont really get...

I'll clarify for you.

I live with my fiance. I have a chronic illness where I can only work part time & I have a low-paying job, and he's been going through some medical stuff too, and our only other income is his military disability pension (which, for partial disability is very low). A few years ago, we realized we were spending entirely too high of a percentage of our monthly income on smoking, so we started ordering "little cigars" online which cost us approximately $1.50 a pack, and that included shipping. Most months, we spent right around $100 to smoke. This is a far cry from people smoking 1 - 2 packs a day at even $5.00 a pack.

I have to ALWAYS consider what we get for the price. So I tend to look at the "luxury" items we buy in terms of time per dollar - in other words, how long do we get to or we will want to use something. When deciding on entertainment expenses, the thing that offers hours of entertainment per dollar spent is ALWAYS going to win over the thing that only offers minutes, so why would I look at juice shopping any differently?

So, when you look at a budget of $100 (and that needs to include any cartos or clearos we need to replace, and any shipping costs) a month for two people, well, I just can't justify spending $25 - $30 plus shipping costs on a single bottle of juice to "try it out". If we *don't* stay on budget, well, then it comes out of something more important, like filling the gas tank or buying groceries. So far, vaping is something we really enjoy, but we have to be cautious about where our money goes.

Our first MBV order was under $20, and included 5 flavors in 15ml bottles - there are many vendors who sell "sample" packs that cost more. The only flavors we've gotten from them that we didn't care for at all were free samples, and we were able to give those to family who vape.

... which this has now gone COMPLETELY off topic from "Are the more expensive juices worth the cost?", and my apologies for that. However, I don't think everyone who vapes is lucky enough to even consider themselves "comfortable" financially, and for myself, and for other people in similar situations, I guess I would have to say that no matter how lovely expensive juices may be (and I have no doubt that there are very many lovely ones out there), I would rather have more juice in the good to pretty good range, then a lot less even if I'd define it as sublime.

Yeah, I honestly dont remember exactly what the topic was but who cares, we're all having a conversation right? conversations go everywhere. I get what youre saying, its just that vaping, even buying "expensive" juices, is still so much cheaper than when I was smoking cigarettes, like Im just always thinking I cant possibly spend that much on vaping, so im always in the green...equipment included...I mean vaping isnt all that great to begin with honestly, I mean if Im gonna do it to get some nicotine I want it to be as undisturbing to my experience as possible. So I need great flavors.

I would never spend 25-30 dollars to try out 15ml of juice either...I buy samples then I go back later and buy 15ml bottles of stuff that was good enough to try again

So far I've tried 2 'more expensive' juices. Dripeez and Aroma WTA. I think both are worth it, for different reasons.
Dripeez specializes in natural, organic juices.. and i love their fruit flavors when im in the mood for something that is not so sugary tasting and more natural..
and Aroma WTA has definitely helped me quit smoking.

5 Pawns sounds really interesting, going to check their juices out this week :)

I think I might be soon joining the Higher End E-Juice Snobbery Consortium. After trying various MBV flavors and being largely unimpressed, I've been sampling juice from various vendors like Ahlusion, GLV, Halo, EVO, and Vermillion River. I haven't sampled them all, and jury is still out on VR and Halo, but the EVO, GLV, and Ahlusion are fantastic enough at this point, that I'd have a hard time going back to MBV.

Taste is subjective. I've had cheap juices and expensive juices that I've enjoyed and that I've hated. Someone spending 1$/ml willingly and with the understanding in mind that he/she found their favorite vape is fine by me.

With that said, I would suggest trying to get into DIY to anyone who strongly factors money into the equation. I've created some personal vapes for pennies on the ml that far exceed any vendor juice I've ever tried.

I have at least 20 bottles of MBV juice 8 months old and all are still unvapable. A few are tobaccos and, frankly, they put me totally off trying any other tobaccos they were so disgusting. I really understood when I read posts describing tobaccos that way. Then, about 4 months ago, I was sent two tobacco samples from another vendor when ordering hardware. I was amazed. Sweetleaf from Mtn Vapors convinced me to try some more tobaccos from there. Really good juice... sooo, I bought some more expensive ones and they were not better than those I got from MV and MrE in my book. I picked up some Dekang tobaccos when ordering an Eroll and IMHO they're right up there with the best I've had for a whole lot more money. They aren't quite as strong in flavor but I like that. Tobaccos are often strong enough that I have to cut them. So there ya go. I see people bash Dekang but I'm happy. I see people praise MBV but I was not happy. I dropped a bundle there and only use them when I can figure out some other juice to mix with them to mask the taste. I guess I'm saying that if you pay a lot for juices, you'll get good and bad. If you pay comparatively little... same thing probably. Its a roll of the dice so stay with the smallest sizes on first try.

I have thought about DIY, I still don't know the time investment needed. I have heard some people very happy with their own creations and others say their stuff didn't turn out very good. I am worried I would be making bad stuff. I guess I will not know until I try.

Unfortunately some boutiques charge a premium and still just repackage dekang AND water it down, some charge significantly less and offer a much better juice. Your best bet is checking reviews online (IMO) from some of the reputable reviewers and word of mouth. I've been ordering from a supplier that's upfront about reselling china juice, I'm pleased with it, but will continue searching. Tried a buddies Halo and it was good, but saw (probably a guy working for them or Mr. Halo himself) in a series of youtube videos bashing Chinese manufacturing and quality. Fact is a mom and pop here could have really good or bad juice, but I'm willing to bet Chinese consistency and quality is spot on from the big guys. Just my opinion, a guy that has his factory in Taiwan as the quality is better and the cost is cheaper than I can get from entitled unionized high school dropouts in the US.

rounding third and heading home...
I've only been vapeing for a couple months now and I am wondering about some of the different suppliers...
For instance the one I order from offers 15ml bottles (with lots of options to customize) for $4.99-$5.99.
I have noticed that some other suppliers that people rave about are more expensive, sometimes by a lot.

Is the extra money worth it? What makes them better?

I know that flavor is subjective and it comes down to personal preference.
But what makes you pay more money for the "good" stuff (be specific:)?

I pay more for wta juice because it is worth it to me- I believe it has a character missing from even the most expensive non-wta juices. thankfully there is one stable , reliable provider of this juice(aroma). also, their flavors happen to be great-. I would vape lousy juice if it had wta, however. I don't have that choice (right now), so I pay more-just glad it is also great juice.

why bash unions? and why not leave your misguided politics for political forums?
