the same diameter as an analog? Roughly same weight?

I'm so wanting one (even though I heard they don't hold a charge for very long (none of the short ones do).

I'm so sorry I didn't get one when I got my last new batt cause now they don't have any autos in white. :(

The Kings do the job but seem just too big sometimes. It'd be nice to have one that's hands free and when I just don't feel like thinking of myself as vaping.

Isn't there some new stuff coming out this month? Anyone know what/when & how much more these things will be? Not complaining-just trying to budget in advance.

Any pictures of these upgrades?

I got close to excited about the Coolcart Fruit Bowl Sampler but, no red apple or grape in it.

I think I have the vaping blues, from not enough new-news. ;)

Given the rate of advancement in battery technology over the centuries - a battery with adequate energy density should approximate the weight of a piece of paper with a little bit of foliage shredded and stuffed inside somewhere in the next fifty to seventy-five years. But that only if our understanding of physics accelerates more rapidly than it has over the last ~hundred years.

Since the 1980's, energy density of batteries has only increased about four-fold.

WOW... I'm going to try and simplify the explanation Adrenalynn posted. (BTW I love the approach you have to "helping" people, I am just not sure if I would like to be on the receiving end of if)

I believe that is all meant to be... No they are not as lite as an analog and given current technology and growth of technology, a battery close to the weight of an analog isn't likely soon...

Please correct my interpretation if i am wrong (which I am sure you will) ha ha

Anyway from what I saw, the shorties are the same diameter as the regular batteries only shorter, which still does make them quite convenient to toss in a pocket or something of the sort. If you use a Leaford Lanyard it doesn't fit all too good. Being as it is shorter then you cant vape on it fully seated in the lanyard, but you can always work around that.

OOOH! a bite guard... excellent idea!

I love holding mine in my mouth - hands free vaping for the win.

But yeah... as Adrenalynn noted, there's basically no way in hell (with current technology) to make a battery as light as an analog - its definitely heavier, but still lighter than the others... if you want to go hands free, the shorty's is your best option

Shorts are roughly the same size give or take a couple millimeters..
Here's a picture that was taken by LibertyRevolution that will give you an idea of size differences..

hopefully u can click/see that.. Top one is an XL, second from top is regular(cigeasy), third is a short, and fourth is a newport 100

I have a couple XL's and regulars that I use and I have a couple shorts (auto) for when I'm on the go.. hope this helps

Am I the only one turned on by this post?

Weight? Wait...forget the battery.
A standard filtered cigarette weight approx 1.2 grams.
A standard KR808 carto empty weighs in at about 3.45 grams.
Now add the weight of a V4L auto shorty at 11.25 grams.

Size - a standard cigarette is 8mm in diameter. KR808 carto 9.25mm.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Outstanding post!

NICE!

Now see, how many companies would keep their customer base THIS well informed? Most companies would avoid leaking that sort of info at all costs... because you know what? The auto shorties in their current stock (which they have invested in) may not sell as well for the next couple weeks while people wait for the new ones (at least with the crowd that reads this forum)... Anyway, good on ya V4L. Looking forward to trying the new batts

Why? What do the new & improved do that the auto shorties now don't? Someone said the shorty autos have a harder draw than regulars. If they're going to be too hard to pull on, I might give up color choice for an easy use hands free shorty cause it'd be my first shorty.

That's just one reason. I'm sure they'll sell them and/or they might not have many left and I'll be kicking myself again for going all shallow when what I need is an occasional break from the button for convenience and something closer to the size of an analog.

I can believe that in blue or black w/ pink or light blue cartos, I'm STILL getting asked by complete if they can 'bumb' a cigarette, lol! I had to unscrew the carto to get one guy from rapping away at my car window thinking I was just trying to be mean to him! Name one analog that has black paper and a light blue filter! Sheesh! So, it's not like the white one I think I want is going to help me out with that kind of thing. It could make it worse. I just want an auto shorty for around the house and anyone else gives me a hard time asking for that 'bumbing' analog nonsense (one of my serious motivations to quit analogs, I'm taking a deep pull then putting the thing 'out' on my forehead, screaming like a madwoman for as long as it takes to get them away from me and/or my car and taking off with the wind!

Seriously, though, what's the expected difference in performance and am I going to look like I'm trying to suck on a lemon or something THAT difficult to vape? (I thought the shorties would be easier to vape!)

Now I'm confused.

....again.

Like I don't know how I'm going to figure out the changing color PT's and those seem awesome. Still realllllly want a V4L beach or canvas tote bag and t-shirt and poster of Val's avatar (Robert, if you're reading this, shhhhh....in a plastic frame :D - y'know, no glass - just class!) That is the coolest avatar I've ever seen anywhere! WE should really all vote on this one to give the team an idea of how well (or not) Val's avatar as a poster would sell - I think many of the ladies would buy 1 - not sure about the guys and home decor items. ;) It's probably locked away somewhere behind walls and walls of steel protected copywrites fermenting into antique vintage. :(

Can anyone picture it with a bottom art light next to a Tiffany lamp and as an occasional practical joke for smoking guests trying to find an ashtray, run a recording of a yelping dog + a string from the poster to the closest window with light up clothespins on it to make it 3-d, lol? Or "How to freak out company who never saw it as Val's avatar". It's a win-win conversation starter/relaxer!

Paullette, you couldn't be more right. V4L stands out and for all the right reasons. I read some of the other forums and this is still the happiest group of people on ecf. They're doing something right all the way around that no one else can duplicate. :)

It unfortunately, is never going to make me a genius about hardware but, I only saw 1 person go on about being excited to try V4L who never posted back - his own fault - he went too cheap with no e-juice on his starter kit and bragged about liking to smoke, ignoring everyone's advice, thinking he would quit with one batt and no juice during the stress of a family vacation - by car. I've never seen anyone even buy lesser quality products, not make a real effort to quit. I didn't have to be a genuis. I just had to not be too cheap and realize what I was spending on analogs was worth my life to give it a fair chance.

I <3 V4L and everyone who has and keeps helping me. I wish I had more to give back but have other things going on. V4L literally saved my life.

If I can get one person to switch from analogs to V4L, I've said thank-you. But, I'm aiming higher! ;)
