Are there any tank systems that work?

I am the only person I know who can't use tank cartridges, mine always flood the atomizer. Everyone else that has picked one up after seeing mine loves them, swears by them. Mine flood, Probably because I was always putting in back pocket.
madvapes has a dual coil carto that fits perfect on a ego battery. Holds at least 3 or 3 1/2ml of fluid, maybe more. Costs about $2.50 each. I have been using I one for over 2 weeks with no problems, and the batts run dry LONG before the the carto.
Also have a tank from Vaporescense, it hit the Roughstack and has never been taken off. Works great.

Would you be so kind as to post a link to the one you use? I looked and there appear to be a couple that fit your description.
Thank you,
Paula

I used the MAP tanks (COV) for a while, sometimes would get leaking issues and had to dry burn (clean) every day or two because it got gunked up quick. Other than that they worked great.

Last week I got the iAtty, still playing with it but so far I think this might be a lot better. No CE2, build your own wick/coil (really easy to do), stainless steel so it isn't going to break anytime soon (does add a bit of weight though). A bit expensive, but really quality made and cheap to replace the wicks when you need to (or want to try a different resistance). Best part is not being tied to a product that might not be here next week (CE2). Far easier to replace the wick (and to clean) than the MAP tank was.

Try this!

Modify the white or black rubber piece that fits over the ceramic cup on the CE2...

I take a large blunt tip needle and cut out the notches for the wicks so they are longer by twisting the blunt tip needle to cut away the rubber.

I then use cuticle cutters and trim the rubber that is inside the rubber piece around the hole in the middle, to prevent it from comming into contact with the coil, as it will fit over the ceramic cup further and may contact the coil.

I also unravel and seperate the wicks all the way back to the ceramic cup.

OK, thanks PK. I'll examine that rubber grommet and see if I can figure it out. It'd be nice if I could make them work for more than four or five hits.

I don't get what everyones problem is with a CE2's. My liquids taste far better in my ce2 than my kr8 carts. The ce2 works great in my tank.

You must have a magic tank then my friend. I was amazed by the clean rich flavor of the E2 in my freshly filled brand new tank for about 6 or 7 hits and then BAM! Hot as hell! I have to tip my PV down to soak the tops of the wicks every 4 or 5 hits to avoid those nasty hot hits. I've heard the same thing from a lot of E2 tank users.
I think the whole idea behind the tank is to make vaping more convenient. The E2s seem to require a lot of messing with to me.

Is your liquid a thick one? Mine are thin, I think.

I've been searching for a new tank/atty combo, got one a while back from gator vapor for my ego, love the concept behind it, but the thing just doesn't wick properly at all - tried all kinds of liquids, clean every day, blah blah blah . . . I get almost NO hit/vapor from the thing, and it gets HOT hOT HOT after only two hits . . . very dissapointed . . .

I don't think it's any thicker than most. I mix my own. 50%PG/VG but I cut the VG 25% with distilled water. Seems to flow pretty good.

Try turning it over before each draw just long enough for the liquid to flow around the cup then turn it back over and vape. As long as I get it wet in that area before I draw I get the same perfect hit every time. If I don't invert it does ok until the juice starts getting to far below the cup then I start getting dry hits. Flipping it is so natural to me now I find myself flipping it over out of habit when I'm using anything else.

Cutting the gasket that fits over the ceramic cup to widen slots the wick goes through also helps but I still invert it before each draw. You can also use the same gasket on other CE2s so you don't have to keep cutting them over and over.
