huh...

when you say they have the efest label wrapped around them, do you mean the plastic shrink-wrap, or the sticker on the actual battery? if it's just the plastic shrink-wrap, i'd personally be a little less worried.

either way, it does sound a little suspicious to me. i think your best bet for the moment is to see what the vendor says.

edit: just to clarify, by plastic shrink-wrap i mean the packaging stuff that you need to remove before using it

I ordered 4 Panasonic 18650 3400mah batteries from a vender online and 3 of them came wrapped with an efest label on them. Is this normal? Kind of scares me. Bought from what im told is a very reputable vender.

thanks

I tried purchasing one of these from a vendor that did not begin with an "f." The next day, I received a telephone call from the vendor because they no longer carried that particular battery. The reason given to me was that the vendor believed (Or had complaints from previous customers) that the batteries were not really 3400 mah.

I do not know if the it's related, but I found such to be curious. I do not think the gentleman was bs'ing me as I requested to cancel my order.

i've read a lot about batteries, and one of the first things you find out is that most battery manufacturers/resellers will either inflate the capacity, or will advertise a theoretical or ideal maximum capacity. for example, most people seem to find that the 700 mah aw 18350's last longer than the 800 mah efest 18350's.

It's not the shrink wrap, it's like a sticker label with another clear sticker wrap that's wrapped around the battery. Each came in its own individual small white box pretty much the exact size of the battery. The vendor does not start with F. I bought them as part of a Labor Day sale the company was having. I guess I can take a pic of them and post? Still new on the form so I need to figure that out. I have 2 efest 18650s and they are all black. Strange to my why an efest sticker would be wrapped around a Panasonic battery. If it was efest I assume it would be all black. Looks like all Panasonics on google images are all green with no sticker labels on them. But hey I'm new so not sure what's normal here. Batteries scare me so I don't want to mess around.

hmm, that is weird... i think if you could post a pic or two it might help.

based on the info you've provided so far, though, i wouldn't trust them. i think it would be better to see what the vendor has to say, then decide what to do afterwards. also, i'd leave everything as-is for now (don't remove the stickers to see what's underneath them) in case you have to return them.

EDIT: why is it showing some code or url for the image and not displaying the image large or clickable to enlarge?

Looks like these are TrustFire branded but got Panasonic cell's inside, not big deal as long as it's made by Panasonic.
Thats called OEM branding, so many responses and no one knew about that here?:)

You mean Efest (or is that the same as trustfire?). Anyways, when you search for 3400 mah efest 18650 you get this 3400mah Efest 18650 Li-ion Battery, 3400mah Efest 18650 Li-ion Battery Products, 3400mah Efest 18650 Li-ion Battery Suppliers and Manufacturers at Alibaba.com

they are all black and come in an efest branded box. mine were just all white. I dont know, like i said, i hate batteries and dont want to mess around.

Efestbattery

As you can see, Efest doesn't have any green batteries on their site. They are either black or red.

If that's an Efest sticker something is fishy, imho----maybe it says Efish?

I don't have a clue if these are NCR18650B. They look like it. But, looks aren't everything. It might be a good idea to research out that vendor yourself and not rely on your previous reference.

Are we not allowed to mention vendor names on here?

Sure, I've heard of OEM branding, but Efest doesn't sell green batteries from what I can tell. I may be wrong. Trustfire has nothing to do with this. I sincerely doubt they wrap panasonic batteries.

This is a very legitimate concern, imho. Even if they actually are the printed panny's -- I would have trouble trusting that supplier with the data I now have.
