Look, the other items you referenced as contrasting with "our" techno-speak have been around for somewhere between decades and a century (or slightly more). The "language" was developed over that time.

E-cigarettes, however, have been around, oh, about a decade? The language is a work in progress, and it takes time.

I'm truly sorry that you have neither the patience or the will to learn, at least enough to keep you off smokes.

I'm almost old enough to be a fuddy-duddy, ALMOST. And I find it quite fun and exciting. I guess it's all a matter of perspective. I decided to adapt rather then ridicule and run away.

I've determined mod is short for modification, which would have been in the early days a modification to a prebuilt cigarette looking e cig. Your big flashlight looking thing is not a mod, and you definitely shouldn't point to the battery holder call it a mod, then point to the tank and also call it a mod. No one knows what your saying.
