Are you stockpiling / hoarding due to fear of the upcoming FDA announcement?

Like the title says... Are you?

I must admit that I am a little! While I doubt the FDA will outright ban e-cigs one never knows what the feds will do when pressured by big tobacco and pharmaceutical companies..

I believe that they will simply ban e-cigs in areas where smoking is already banned and I also think they will tax the nicotine in juice but....

I am a little worried what they will do.. Normally I have my main PV and a backup. A tank and a rebuildable with enough juice to last me the month.

Lately though I think fear of the unknown is driving me to buy, stash and hoard more stuff than I would under different circumstances...

For PV's I now have a Super T ELA (pre-order), a Atmizoo Roller, a Provari Min, and an eGo

For atty's I have 2ea VPX tanks, 2ea Divers, a Grail and a Kayfun Lite.

I also have about 500ml of juice stashed..

Has the unknown of what the FDA will do caused you to become a hoarder and / or a stasher?

I guess for me it has..

Yes it would be hard to ban hardware to a point.. A mod is just a tube and it could simply be sold as a flashlight.. Atomizers / cartomizers and many RBA's and RDA's would be simple to spot and seize by the feds..

I doubt that will happen but like I said they are undoubtedly getting pressure from big hitters with bottomless pockets..

No not really.
It wouldn't hurt most of us here, who it would hurt are the new users just trying to quit analogs and
not knowing much about how things work. Face it, most of us wouldn't be here to this point if all
those controls, bans, taxes etc. were in place at the start. We would have just stayed with the analogs
or quit cold turkey and gone crazy (ier).

The only things the feds can really regulate are the nicotine bases and premade juices.
I'd have to respectfully disagree..

They can ban hardware if they choose (unlikely) and seize anything they think is e-cig related.. Atomizers and cartomizers are pretty obvious as are most RDA and RBA's..

Will they? I highly doubt that is what is going to happen but the feds have proven to be ridiculous in the past so I will never say never..

A mod would pretty much be impossible as it could simply be sold as a flashlight tube but most other e-cig related items are pretty distinguishable..

If it's banned, I quit vaping I suppose. I am not going to be part of a hedge on liquids and equipment (similar to the ammo debacle that happened back in Feb this year)

If people spread the worry and rumors, then the myth becomes self-perpetuating and everyone will see prices increase and supply decrease.

Even if they reach a conclusion in October, it is very unlikely we'll see any type of action before this time next year (IMHO)

He did say DIY hardware. No, banning cannot be enforced. Of course they could ban commercially made hardware. I don't see that happening considering what I saw when going into head shops to get e-liquid.

Ok I didn't intend this thread to get into banning, not banning ect..

The Q was are you stockpiling / hoarding?

There are 10,736.4 other threads about the ban or lack thereof..

They won't get banned. It's not logical. Health reduction is too obvious. Worst that would happen, as said, is taxing - and I honestly doubt even that would get too bad because let's face it: people vape. In today's day and age people are so quick to riot and .... over such little things. This would be one of them.

That's what they thought in the UK too, just before they decided to class them as a medicine.

Eh.... Its not a matter of banning as it is gonna be regulating. I see the Federal Government, along with BIG Tobacco pushing it and twisting their arms, trying to regulate it with in 2 yrs. Maybe sooner. You are gonna see prices go up on juice in a major way. a 15ml bottle is the equivalent to a carton of analogs so that 15ml juice may be at the same price. I see them taking out the 30 and 120ml bottles out of the picture entirely and why shouldn't they. If a 15ml bottle is gonna cost you the same price as a regular carton of analogs imagine how much a 30 or 120ml bottle is gonna run.... I am not stock piling per-say but I am buying in quantities. 5 EVODs here, 2-3 15ml-30ml bottles there, 10 Atmoizers over yonder.... LOL

I've started stocking up on nic base. That's the one component that I fear will be taxed, regulated, unavailable or whatever. Surely the cost will increase significantly.

Hardware I'm uncertain about. I'm thinking of stocking up on rebuildable clearos. Wick and wire will always be available.

I DIY some liquid now so hopefully I'll get better at that.
