I have been trying like hell to get people at my work to give vaping a try, and so far out of 10 chimneys I have gotten one person interested, if only mildly. I gave her the cheapo Metro kit I started with, and told her if she really likes it that I would give her one of my KGOs. Other than that, only my brother seems interested, and as a not-really-a-smoker I don't really want to encourage him. lol

I was introduced to vaping by a non-friend while on (disc) golf course a little over a year ago. He had disposable and clued me in on effectiveness and other questions I had.

About 2 months later after getting my first kit, I converted a friend (rather easily) who still vapes. He then converted another mutual friend. A fourth mutual friend was attempted, seemed to take to vaping, but it didn't stick. Still hope there though.

I play cards regularly with another set of friends and while 2 or 3 of those are smokers, none are heavy tobacco users and thus don't have much interest in vaping, though all of them have tried it and I think thought it was okay.

On most days, I feel like I'm the only one I know that vapes as the original friend I converted and the mutual friend - and me don't really hang out that often anymore.

None of my friends smoke, but like a previous poster said, they were exceptionally supportive of my decision to vape to the point that I have an open invitation to vape in several of their houses. Or, as one friend put it, "It smells better than my cats' litter box."

True. Maybe I should take over some crab juice and see how that flies. :)

In the family, we have six smokers. Four are now vapers, and #5 is seriously considering it (she's extremely technophobic so I understand the hesitancy--but her son is one of the vapers, so she has great support). Number six tried and failed, but fails at most things.

My mother converted over (she's one of the four). She's now converted several random people, including one woman she met in the smoking section at a group gathering.

It's like the description of a spreading infection. Each of us infects several more. :)

At my last job I was the first of my friends to convert. Then a lot of them switched. I changed jobs and moved half way across the US, and am the only one who vapes, but I have around 10 different people ask me about it everyday. I think my next e-liquid order, I am going to ask for a stack of business cards to hand out.
