It is really too bad that the legislature in California fought Arnold on almost every issue. He will go down as a terrible govenor, but it is really that it is a terrible legislature that he just could not get to follow his leadership.

I hope he runs for the congress at the federal level. But then I also miss him in the movies.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Monday vetoed a measure that would have banned smoking at state parks and beaches, calling it "an improper intrusion of government into people's lives.''

How many times have you heard a politician say that! I wish there were more like him working in government...

Too bad he can't run for president, amirite?

Thank you Eikon, I thought somehow my ecig made me pass out and I woke up in the Twilight Zone. Notice how @98% of posters don't actually live in California.

OMG, I literally can not believe it, I can't even type, I am so stunned that anyone who knows anything about the condition California is in right now would ever admire Him.

My God, stunned I tell you...

I'm an immigrant. I was born and raised in Mexico. My company brought me here. I as many Mexicans, I am educated, and yes, against illegal immigration to ANY country… but the way he spoke about illegal immigration and linking it only to Mexicans just turned me (and many others) down. CA is a place I won’t visit again because of him.

Does he believe there are not uneducated Austrians?

Good call Arnold! ...and the E-Cig ban veto too!

Now, if you can just make good on your promise to cut taxes.
This is what he said during his initial campaign to become the Governator:

"From the time they get up in the morning and flush the toilet, they're taxed. Then they go and get the cup of coffee, they're taxed. They go for lunch and they are taxed and it goes on all day long, tax, tax tax..."

I voted for him but we misunderstood the message. Apparently he thinks it's a good thing!
Meanwhile we're hemorrhaging businesses to other states leaving the rest of us to make up the difference in lost tax revenue.

They need the money because Government is the only growth industry left in CA. and government employees belong to big powerful unions. We're also a sanctuary state for illegal aliens from everywhere which doles out the highest welfare benefits of any state in the country.

The Small Business Survival Index ranks California 49th among all states for business friendliness, just beating out New Jersey as the least business friendly state in the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council's annual rankings.

To be fair it's the legislature but the Governator has been caving in to them from day 1....except about smoking and vaping!
It's really hard to tell if he's part of the problem but he sure doesn't seem to have a handle on the solution.
Believe me, Jerry Brown (previously Gov Moonbeam) will be worse by far.
I like Jerry but not as a governor. He'd make a great talk-show host.
