This build just keeps going and going. Nothing to fancy, 6/7 wraps 26/32 ga youde Clapton, it's .4 ohms, running at 75 watts with a Delrin tip, it's a heavenly vape! It's been in since Monday, and getting used heavily, it feels like it's getting better and better!

If the wick is buring through then it really does sound like excessive heat.

What wire are you using?

I'd guess either you're using a wire that is not Ni200 and your mod is over heating it when set to 380F, or your mod's TC is shot.

using grade 1 Ti 24 AWG. 2.5ID. 14 wraps. dual comes about 0.14ohm. temp is set at 380F" :( its frustrating good news this Muji unbleached cotton still alive after a few hrs of vaping and gaming. will give till today see if its still split. its good if its just the kendo cotton that fail on this build and setup,

did a refill and take a pic. what u guys reckon uneven heating? right coil is login great left coil is gunky and burn.

Certainly has signs of uneven coils.

As the TC will regulate to the average of both coils combined one could be over heating.

Also, I know Ni200 builds don't work well as contact coils.

I see your Ti coils are contact coils, does anyone know if this is also a bad idea?

Res is close to correct. Should be bout .16 with those 24g 12 wrap dual 2.5mm coils. Looks like you're underwicked to me. The cotton should have shoulders where it comes out of the coil.

Have you checked to see if the coils are firing center out? You can dryburn/dryfire Ti at low wattage. For that build I'd try it at around 15w if your mod has stepdown capability.

did a new build yesterday and i stick in more cotton and its tight around the coil and a bit more on the tail side when i tuck in so to keep it moist. so far ok.

b4 all this i do the usual pulse started from 8 to 10w at 250F', till it turn blue b4 i wick it and prime it. this time round i am doing Ti coils with 10 wraps, 24 AWG. ID2.5m.

lets see how long this will last

Want to say thank you to cigatron for pming me instructions on fixing the airhole alignment issue. Actually at first I used too coarse of sandpaper lol there was no grit number on the back so had some struggles but a friend gave me a piece of 400 grit and I only had to sand the base 2-3 times....

Basically your just unscrewing the velocity deck, then your taking that base onto a piece of 320 grit or higher sandpaper(although I believe the higher the better)at this point all you do is press down really hard the base onto the sandpaper. Start out with the base at the middle or so of the sheet of sandpaper and move it across the sandpaper towards you I'd say 6 inches...

You need to clean the metallic residue/sandpaper residue at this point before testing the base with the airholes.... I used a small brush or paper towel will also work... Should only be 2-3 times at most sanding.

Finally this obviously isn't necessary but I soaked the whole tank in Efferdent denture cleaner then rinsed it off real good because it was due for a cleaning anyway...

Pardon me, what was that a fix for? I read back, but missed it. :?:

I'm thinkin' about pickin' up an Aromamizer, and don't want to fiddl'n with it, more than is required for buildin'. ;)

Air alignment with the coils. Some Aromamizers line up perfect out of the box, and others don't. Seems to be getting less common with these later batches, at least from feedback on here.

Oh, okay, thank you for that.

Since I didn't read all 118 pages, what is the consensus for the better vape; the 3ml or 6ml or are they the same?

I got the 6ml, can't really improve on that much, it's awesome, but I'm glad I don't have the 3 ml, Its a thirsty tank you'll be refilling all the time...

Yep!

You could buy the 6ml and then a 3ml top cap so you can try it both ways. The only difference is the top cap between the two so its easy to convert back and forth.

Some prefer smaller, and some prefer larger. And sometimes I switch mine around like the Erlkonigin. It will be nano for a few weeks, then full size for a few weeks. Full size is nice for going to work or being away from home for awhile.

Anjelcigs has the tanks for 13.99. I've never ordered from them before. I'm not seeing accessories though. Is there a better place to get them?

Those are the clones. Which apparently aren't any good. I'd avoid those personally. You can get an authentic for $20 plus shipping at vapenw.com.

Here's a direct link: Aromamizer RDTA by Steam Crave $19.99 (Velocity Style Deck) Original

I think eccigity has them in-stock too, and may still have a holiday coupon code going on, not sure.
