After this build I will probably go back to my dual 24ga 4/5 wrap.
Could also remove the battery and charge it externally. That is what I'd do with a D2, but to each their own.Could remove the atty when charging
Assuming you have enough wick covering those deck holes already, you may want to try lightly compressing your (wet) wicks onto the deck. For me (and my 50/50 juice) that made the difference between the occasional vomitude, and total leak-proof reliability laying on its side (in the car, on the night stand overnight, etc.)anyone have leaking while laying on its side? My mod charges from the bottom (ipv d2) and must be laid on its side at night.
How's the flavor compare to an actual velocity rda? I normally just build macro kanthal builds at around .25. Nothing fancy, but I was wondering because this is a tank of sorts, if the flavor is more concentrated?
I don't think the hole alignment is an issue on the newer batches. You should be fine in that regard. If you're buying direct and you do have qc issues I would think steamcrave would work with you to get them resolved. I would hope so at least.Ok, I am just about ready to pull the trigger on the 3ml w/ the velocity deck -- looks like Steam Crave finally has them in stock for $44.99 with free shipping. But...I would like to hear from anyone that can convince me NOT to get it. My biggest concern is with the lining up all of the air holes as that seems to be the issue a lot of people are bringing up. Is this really a common problem and is it a big deal in terms of the vape? I'm not really into having to "shave" the tank -- for $45 I am just expecting it to work. So -- anyone out there that would really really discourage me pulling the trigger on this?
Also - I am leaning towards the 3ml size. Seems like refilling on this tank isn't too bad? Plus I have found with other tanks that offer two sizes, I seem to get better flavor in the smaller tank sizes. What about for this RDTA? Any real differences in vape or is it just impacting capacity.
Last Q - I know that Vapor DNA carries them, but currently out of stock. If I do get this, is anyone aware of any other place besides Steam Crave that would offer them cheaper (then again, I am thinking that maybe if I get it direct, they may have fixed the hole alignment problem, don't know)
Thanks in advance for the advice on this one...
Longhorn vapor co. has the 3ml for $38 shipped of your in the US. I ordered mine Monday and its suppose to arrive tomorrow.Ok, I am just about ready to pull the trigger on the 3ml w/ the velocity deck -- looks like Steam Crave finally has them in stock for $44.99 with free shipping. @cjpeltz Apparently I'm the only one who thinks it vapes better with indirect airflow, although there has to be others..right? I've tried moving my deck so that the coils are directly centered over an air hole but I like it more when two air holes come in at different angles over the coil, like they originally designed it. But no, the alignment doesn't matter because you can turn the deck and have the airflow hitting the coils however you like.
Dude, you cant turn the deck without making the connection unstable at least I can't. Even just a slight turn and my ohms jump all over the place. Better to unscrew the tank than the deck at least then the ohms stay stable.@cjpeltz Apparently I'm the only one who thinks it vapes better with indirect airflow, although there has to be others..right? weird, maybe my mod is more sensitive or something who knowsI can turn mine until juice leaks from the 510 and maintain a solid connection. *shrugs*
