Since I received my Aromamizer on Monday I have been using and enjoying the experience. It is quite different than a standard sub ohm tank and more like a dripper experience as most of you have already stated many times.
My first build on this with on the dual post Velosity style RBA section (the 3 post was not included), with dual 2mm 24ga Ti tightly twisted with 30ga Kanthal A1 horizontal coils. I did about 7 spaced wraps giving me around .114 ohms on my SXM, and set it for TC at 450F using 32J to keep it there. I found the 4 hole silicone ring to be a bit too much airflow so I have been using the 2 hole silicone ring instead, using the 2 holes that line up perfectly with the center of the coils and not the 2 that line up with the 2 posts.
I find the workmanship and threading to be stellar and the ease of filling to be very good. I use about 80VG/20PG DIY juice, and for wicking I am on a Pima cotton kick and it is working perfectly with this build. Not once have I experienced a dry hit. This is one deck that is a pleasure to wick unlike some other atty's that require a meticulous skill level and is very time consuming to achieve great performance.
The dual post Velicity style deck is also fairly easy to coil with some room to move around, but I gave up on my first set of coils which were twisted 2.5mm which adds additional volume which I could have made work, but chose instead to just tighten them up to 2mm instead. I am sure a 2.5mm single wire would work just fine, but the twisted 24ga Ti with 30ga Kanthal A1 just took up too much room. I would love to have done 3mm diameter coils but that wasn't going to happen with this twisted wire as it would short the chimney. Maybe with future builds I will try vertical instead of horizontal coils as I have read some of you have had great success, but for my initial build and desire to get this atty cranking, the horizontal was in the comfort zone.
Well the vapor production is excellent and the flavor is equally so. Just enjoying the ability to get dripper performance without having to drip. No condensation either at the base of the atty. The only thing I am noticing at times is that the drip tip can get hot when vaping hard. For those of you counting the juice requirements, I am going through 3-4 tanks a day on this atty.
DIY juice making is the only way to afford it.![]()
I'm glad you're enjoying it
If you want a 3 post deck also, they are only about $8 from Steam Crave. Those are the ones I'm putting the verticals on.
I bought some teflon drip tips from Fasttech and these are nice for helping with the heat. They come in both 17mm and 20mm height.
