agree with dw, If it says authentic in the description it is authentic, I've got right at 150 orders from them over a few years, the few issues I've had they always took care of it, shipping time is much improved over last couple years, normally about 10 days once it is shipped. I typically only buy if it is listed as in stock, or better yet ships next day.

Dammit! I've passed up a lot of good deals because I didn't believe it! I don't know if I trust them that much. But you definitely have me researching it now. Thanks!
If our thread participants are saying "authentic" from fasttech means genuinely authentic, is doesn't always mean that. There have been several scandals over the few years I've been "in to it" about fast tech and stuff labelled authentic that turns out to be not authentic.

Im sure some stuff may be authentic, but if that were a concern for me? I might look elsewhere to improve my odds of getting a real authentic genuine item. Buyer beware and ymmv.

Now, I've made lots of buys at ft, some awesome, others not so much. But 99.9% of the time the item is what's described and of acceptable quality, for the cost. Your not going to buy a $20 clone of a $200 item and get the identical item. There's going to be some differences.

Oh yeah! (sorry for derailing the thread!) I've made many, many successfull purchases from ft. And I've never had the delivery issues I've heard of. 2-3 weeks max for me. I've just questioned the word authentic from there. Buyer beware hits the nail on the head.

Back on topic. With the wicking and coil placement method somebody told me up there a page or two. I'm going about a week now with my Aromamizer not leaking a drop. Laying it down half, if not most, of the time! You guys n gals are GREAT!!!

It's authentic garbage. Solved.

Fasttech always has claims from someone about the authenticity of products, most often it is something from Kanger, Innokin, or Aspire, they always play out the same. I think the highest profile issue I recall was the AquaV2, and with that I'd be willing to put money on the fact it is impossible to tell it apart from my authentic.

Will always be risks of purchasing counterfeits, It has happened in the classies, your local B&M isn't immune, it happens everyday somewhere. Of course it could happen at FT as well, after all they are just resellers. IMO the thing that sets them apart is customer service. Which quite honestly is better then many HEMO sellers.

Personally I have no doubts when it comes to China made gear (like the aromamizer) that FT is selling the authentic, when they state it. A good clue is they had to raise the price, probably due to the Butthurt Steamcrave felt when it was listed for less than $30. You can still get a pretty good deal by using "MAP" which FT regularly use when a Minimum price jeopardizes manufacturer relations.

This will be my last derailment of the thread, back OT.

I have the FT Aqua v2 in question and the authorized authentic. Both sharks. I can't find any difference.

Let me add about counterfeits, as a Cell Phone Store, B&M are absolutely NOT immune. The vast majority of RETAIL SELLERS (especially single shops, small businesses) buy from WHOLESALERS and not directly from the factory - for a lot of reasons. So when I place an order for phone cases (as an example), I've ordered OTTERBOX cases which were sold to me as AUTHENTIC complete in packaging and everything, so I purchased them wholesale as authentic, which turned out to be counterfeit (not clones). Had I not been able to tell the difference myself (which comes from experience unless the counterfeit/clone is complete garbage), I would have unknowingly passed them off as authentic because that's what I was told. My point is, there is plenty of blame to go around for fakes. The wholesaler may have gotten it from somebody in china, like those guys on ali baba, who may have told them they were authentic, etc... I'm not defending or condemning here, just enlightening... I've been in shady vape stores that were trying to pass off COUNTERFEIT Kayfun's as authentic for $60, back when they were $99+ (or whatever)... I knew they were fake, HE KNEW THEY WERE FAKE, but he insisted they were real... Buyer beware. :)
(and to be fair, the vape market is no where near as saturated as the cellphone market, and I would like to think anyone opening a store would have enough knowledge to KNOW the difference but...)

BACK ON TOPIC:
I tried dual ni200 claptons in my Aromamizer, 24/32 clapton from FT (LOL), dual vertical coils, 3mm 5 wraps each on my DNA200. First fire said SHORTED, after firing it a few times I guess the wire heated up enough to register a resistance of 0.04ohms, so it finally fired... turns out I was NOT in TC mode and firing straight power mode at 150w or whatever I had it set to. In just a few puffs the amount of heat was insane. The atty and drip tip got so hot it literally burned my lips. I had to wait for the atty to cool down before I could take it apart to see what the deal was. I removed 1 coil, plugged 2 of the juice holes with cotton and ran it in SINGLE COIL mode, which registered as 0.05ohm. I blocked the opposite airhole with a little piece of napkin. Worked great, wicked fine, taste wasn't impressive but was ok. So far the build I've liked the most has been the dual Ni200 spaced horizontal coils on the two top holes of the posts so the coils were high up in the chamber. Great flavor, easy to wick... I think I used 28g Ni200 10 wraps each on 2.5mm? (I can't remember).

So my experience with CLAPTON ni200 coils so far hasn't been positive, at least not in DUAL COIL configuration. YMMV.
