Any particular wicking technique? On the holes Vs near the holes?A little over 3/16" will get you close. I Added to my previous post.
Hehe, I don't know about that!Gawd, I'm so jealous. Maybe I could trade you NET juice for one of those instead B.
Lmao.......Hehe, I don't know about that!![]()
I vape around 35w. Never anymore than 45. I'm a flavor chaser.Cut the wick tails just long enough to touch the deck over the juice holes. Don't compress the tails into the holes unless you're planning on vaping at less than 60w.

i haven't noticed muted flavor when comparing different drip tipsYeah, the flavor seems muted when using them. I thought about digging out the dremel and doing something fancy, leaving it partially there and taking off only some of the base... but then I decided I was too lazy and just wanted to vape!![]()

Thank you.Ok, here you go @Scott the Vaper . Below is a link to Steamengine. An excellent coil building calculator to play with. I have entered some coil parameters that I think will work with the Aroma at 40w. Just a simple 28g Kanthal, 8 wraps slightly spaced,, 2mm ID, .6ohm dual coil build that will produce plenty of heat at 40w. You'll have close down the airflow control quite a lot to warm up the vape but i think it will work fine.

Good luck
The leaking issue is subjective imo, based on your desired vaping power range. If I put the wick tails directly over the juice holes I can vape at low power with no leaking. If I keep the wick tails partially covering the juice holes I can vape at high power levels but it leaks laying down.
If you have found a way to wick this thing to vape at 80w+ with no leaking please show us how.
some pill bottles have rayon on top of the pills .. test it with a lighter ..burns it is rayon ..melts it is not!I've got no trouble chain vaping at 100 watts and get zero leaks laying on the side. I do wick with rayon which I find wicks much better than cotton.
Wick with a generous amount of wick, trim with the gap between the deck and the out edge (where the juice goes), gently tuck it under the coils (I build horizontally), wick and go. No leaks, no dry hits. If you haven't tryed rayon I highly suggest you try it out! A few bucks buys you a lifetime supply:

Edit: I noticed you're using 24g not claptons. I had a spaced 22a build in mine I could run around 120 watts without dry hitting with the same wicking method. Have you got any 22ga lying around?

How bout some pics of your wicking technique?
Yes, I use rayon. Yes, I've used 22g but don't like the slower firing times, claptons either.
What is the heat capacity of your claptons? And what is the heat flux at 120w? Point is, running 24g at 120w, which I can with cotton, is twice the heat of 22g at 120w and it requires twice the juice flow too; enough juice that I can't cover the juice holes, so it leaks.
Yeah, I'll have to sit down with the wire wizard and figure out the heat flux. It's 26/32 pre wound UD clapton wire but I have to imagine it's pretty high.
I hesitate to even call what I do when wicking "technique"; it's literally cut, fluff, stuff, drip.
One thing I do love about rayon is the wicks seem to last forever. I've got the same wick in there for two weeks now and even though discolored near the coils it still tastes like the first time I put it in there.
Yeah, rayon is great. It's not unusual to get over 200ml between wick changes with clean-ish juices.
BTW, I think you'll find that your claptons have about half the heat flux per mm^2 than 24g. 24g doesn't have near as much wick-to-wire surface area contact as 22g or claptons either, so it has to stay wet, wet, wet or it'll go burny at 120w. My coil symmetry has to be very good to achieve those power levels too.
