The reasons I didn't like the drop down.....lets see....
In order to get the tip you want you have to be freakishly fast to the checkout. To make two picks with the drop down you have to put one in the basket, go back and put the other. You then see that one is taken so you remove it and go back to select another, that one is gone too. During the process the Trippy server is extremely taxed so it is taking a long time for the page to load each time. Finally, at the end of this frustrating downward spiral all your picks are gone. In this scenario you could have been the second fastest on the draw and end up without a pick.
Using the comment field method you could get your second or third pick and walk away feeling great. I hate to hear that this method is more difficult on you Bert, perhaps putting some rules in place to keep it simple would help. Also, it seems fair to only let each person get one pick(their second tip would be random). This would allow more people to get a pick.
I got mine in today and I'm thrilled(Pics to come). After being a grouch, I got one of my picks and a tip that wasn't even in the list. You da man Bert! I also got one in today that I traded for in the classies and its top notch as well.
