I'll be making some art glass soon that will have wide bands of red and blue with smaller bands of white between them. they are really nice colors together and very! sentimental colors for many reasons, from flags (my native country Costa Rica included) to teams to the GD....I'll make sure you guys get a chance at some Trippy Tips with the white lines direction altered 13 times :D

Yes - red, white and blue tie dye would be awesome! I have a friend who is a metal artist, who made me a stylized SYF of copper, with excellent rwb patinas, and a steel hand like your avitar. Again, not to stiffle anyone's creativity, just sayin'...

There will be TT's there but neither Bert or I will not be attending. I just looked it up online tho....you kids will be having toooo much fun!

I do plan on going to a vape fest at some point in the fall this year, just as a meet and greet....if you guys have any suggestions for me regarding any vape events (past july-before december) I'll look into it. I won't be vending because we wholesale to vendors, but! I will have some surprises :D

Freddy

Freddy, when we have another meet here in Knoxville, you should try and make it down. We are fairly small but trying to add more numbers.

Freddy/Bert- Most all the larger vape gatherings have raffles and door prizes that are donated from different vendors. If you would like to participate in this way, just use the email vapestock2012(at)yahoo.com and ask how to participate. If you need anything-shoot me an e-mail.

I hope to one day make a vape meet too!

Hi ya'll. I've been home sick, just sweating it out and keeping up with the thread and all the moves. Ya'll can bring up some funny conversations. Shoot it's fun just watching all the different one's and keeping up with them.

Have a great Day, I'll be around between snoozes.

Freddy - You are the man! And since you mentioned a favorite show, check out 11-14-71 at TCU. It was my first show, and it converted me from being a Classical/Jazz snob, to being a DH. I can't pick a single show as a favorite (like them all!), but this one is pretty stellar!

That's awesome you got to see them in their original "prime" I'll listen to that one today....you guys got me on a Grateful Dead show quick now :p I did my first in 87 and only attended a few after that, back then I was doing leatherwork, semiprecious stone jewelry and sculptures using bone and stone. I loved every show, but I wouldn't commit to a tour just because it was too strenuous. I actually would travel across the U.S selling at open air markets....love! that time of my life.

oddly, I consider myself more of a jazz aficionado these days. I have over 600 gigs of music and half is jazz. I love it! Miles, Coltrane, Mingus, Kupra, McLaughlin....modern to standard. I'm not a snob about it now, was for a while....hard to digest any other music after jazz without judging it's form and complexity (or lack of) Now, I'm into most stuff out there. I love music, it's the language of the heart :D

Yea!!! I'm competing there with my buddy James Yaun, we'll be vending metal sculptures, glass jewelry and marbles as well. I would like Bert to go, I promised him a plane ticket a while back....don't know if his schedule will allow it tho...hmmmmm, haven't talked to him about it in a bit. I'll reserve a night for any/all of you that show up. We can have dinner, vape....share some fun together. I'm down, Corning is like a carnival during that show.

wow just noticed that zen got his original thread back. Wonder if .... the original trippy thread can come back?

The word is that it was an unexpected action made by ecf, they weren't meaning to do it this drastically. They plan on splitting threads that reach 5000 posts so it doesn't slow down the forum. It's too technical for me to digest...I'm a cyber/tech newbie.....the ecf means well, I'm still super impressed by their professionalism and structure. I like the way they operate, keeps the dialog between vendors and peers really smooth. I also appreciate meeting you all, makes my work more meaningful :D

Freddy and Bert, I for one love your art. I remember as a kid going with my parents to different festivities and seeing glass blowers showing their craft. I have several beautiful glass paper weights in my collection from these festivities (some are 40+ years old). I've noticed the changes in the forms over the years. I just love the colors and depth. It's like looking into the universe captured in a globe held in your hand. Keep up the good work, you will have my patronage for years to come as I watch you master your art.

Dan just went and got us a new server which he is setting up now! It has 4x the power of what we are on now. Without Dan there would never have been a website for TrippyTips or even Open Lab Glass. If you appreciate what he is doing for us it would be really nice to drop him a line and let him know. His E-mail address is dan(a)farrellit(dot)net.

DONE!

Good morning Trippys! Wow new home. Gotta run as usual but here are my first TT's and a Stinkhorn mushroom  Anyone ever see anything like this? It looks like tongues growing from the ground. Weird & wonderful lol Oh by the way the Loki is a honeycomb too. My picture just sucks.
