Art Glass Drip Tips

I don't really have anyone else to share this with, it sort of pertains to this thread... I'm a tank user and I've been somewhat disappointed with the available selection. I figure I most like the Jonboy tanks but don't use 'em much because they are not compatible with my beloved Trippy Tips. A couple of months ago I had a crazy idea that I could make my own tanks to my personal specifications. After spending a bundle on equipment and several botched tries I believe I have built a tank that will be usable. If not it at least resembles my original idea. The idea was to make tanks out of resin blanks(like the Jonboy tanks) that match my Trippy Tips and my PVs.

I designed this one to work with 801 fusion mega cartos. Note how the bottom covers the collar and eliminates the unsightly gap, this gap bugs me but is there on pretty much any fusion/tank setup or buzz/tank setup. It sort of matches this tip, i tried to make it look as if it were part of the tip. I wanted to make the diameter match my Buzz but pen blanks of this size are hard to find. This tank was more of a practice run but hopefully I will be able to match tanks more closely to my Trippy tips in the future.

I do recall seeing those but did not realize they were glass. The reason I like the Jonboy tanks is the resin they are made of.....I would like to get some glass tubes then make custom ends....

Jdub that is wonderful i love it thank you for sharing with us, now that's a tank i would be proud to own and i could use my trippies with it winnnn!!!

I think this is a wonderful idea. I am not a tank user myself, but I think there is a market for people who want tanks where they can use their own tips, and especially their Trippy TIps if they have them! BRAVO!!!!

Just a note for the sizing, if you look for bottle stopper or handle blanks instead of pen blank you can get a larger diameter
I know Rockler carries some and so does Penn State Industries

jdub, I love it. It's really beautiful and I can see that you put a lot of time and thought into this.

I'm REALLY new to tanks. For some reason, I thought it looked a bit "ugly" to have the juice rolling around on top. I didn't care for the look.

Then I thought oh hellsbells, I'll get a Chibi for a couple of dollars to see how it works. The Chibis are sweet but to me, a PITA to assemble and fill.

So then I got a Phiniac (as can be seen in dragonvap's "clone" pic, LOL). Ahhh, love at first vape. Easy to use and just beautiful.

My next adventure is the Bella, and the Bedazzled. I will be getting a couple of those very soon. (And yes, Star, I'll post pics eventually.)

From empty to full on my "Tank", eh?

I would certainly not regret owning one of yours, jdub... not at all!

(A Lava is most likely not in my future due to the current popularity and difficulty in obtaining one.)

PS. I've gone full circle from being only an avid dripper to using cartos and now tanks!
