sorry i havent been posting much my friends but i try to keep up. just really crappy times for me right now and havent been talkative much. am having to take my 23 year old son to a drug councilor tomorrow and get a referal to rehab for him. he is out there on some stuff the kids call spice and its killing me to see this.

Mike, I am so sorry to hear that. In my job I have to talk to people all day about there failed drug tests and that stuff is getting out of control. I will be praying for you and your son. If there is anything I can do, just let me know buddy.

Always something new for the kids in the mix-ugh! Never could keep up with all the different names of the street crap

hey misplacedsooner, very sorry to hear that, is that the stuff thats advertised as incense? the fake weed or whatever? that stuf is bad, i feel for you, i think id rather have my kid smoking plain old weed.. anyways, hope all goes well for you.

So sorry to hear this Mike... I know there's not much we can do other than make sure you know that you have people here to support you... I helped a friend through the initial stages rehab/recovery from addiction a couple years ago & it was one of the toughest things I've faced... Can't even imagine how hard it is watching your son go thru it...

Spice, also known as K2 is a synthetic form of ... but much stronger. The biggest danger is that many different things get thrown in and it can be extremly dangerous. Along with that there is also bath salts which is gaining in popularity and some scary stuff. Yeah this is the crap in my head on a daily basis. But it pays me well to know about all this.

thats exactly the stuff it is. some kind of synthetic stuff thats actually legal!!! how can this be? 2 years ago at 21 he was banking 60,000 per year. when he and his wife split he came back here with nothing much as he left a large portion of everything so my grand daughter would be well taken care of now she wont even let him talk to her or have any contact nor any of our family. sucks being 1000 miles away and on limited income.
since hes been back he wont work just hangs out and does this stuff that makes you puke sick then hallucinate. last weekend he stole 380 bucks from my youngest son who until today had an apartment with him. their lease was up on the first of may and he just tried to stay there anyhow and told us it wasnt up til the end of the month. i raised hell til i went to the property management place and they showed me the lease so i told him he had to leave he was trespassing and they had every right to make him leave. wow, is about all i can say. this is a kid who was an athlete at a pretty high level. i still dont know where things went so wrong.
sorry to put this out there at you all but i almost felt like busting if i didnt get some of this out of me.

I have heard/read about the salts-not good. Frightening to say the least. My heart goes out to you and your family sooner. Tough love is the hardest love to give. We give our hearts to our children and hope for the best. ((hugs))

Spice is no longer legal to sell actually, the Feds ruled it a Schedule 1 drug in emergency session, but some places are still selling it.
