91 here and I am cooking in it...I can't imagine how you must feel. I am hitting up 7/11 for a slushy after work for sure.
It's 98 here... these people I work for are trying to make me go outside.....
They say I need to go to the bank and the post office today, I say they need to give me a car with air conditioning to do such things because I already know it's over 120 inside my car, it always is when it gets this hot outside.
They think I'm funny. I think they're evil.
Can't believe you're stuck with 109 Star! I probably would have had to stay home if it had been that hot here LOL

oh man i remember when i was in college i drove a car that had no air, no speedometer and no working gas gauge either lol i use to melt in the summer it was horrible but man do i miss that car even though i hated it lol

The current car was bought in 2000.... I was much younger then and could survive the heat a lot better. Now I get heatstroke every time I get in the car LOL
Thinking back, I so should have got the slightly better model that had the air conditioning, but it was so ugly and I needed a car right then and I really didn't have the time to try and find something else that was in my budget because the car I was replacing kept doing this thing where you'd try to start it, but it wouldn't start, you'd take the key out and it would still be trying to start itself, then it would catch fire....
Got a question from a friend that no one has answered for him yet. He wants to know if he can use silica wick in a DID.

I figured you probably could, I mean if you can switch to the mesh in just about anything else, you could probably use the silica in the DID... no actual clue, that's why I figured I'd ask if it was possible from some of the people that I knew had one LOL If I was at home with my real computer I would totally blow the pics up

I don't have a DID, but I think it would be technically possible, though probably a pain to set up. Another option is to un-braid the silica wick and use it to wrap the mesh. Doing it this way you could even go without oxidizing the mesh as long as your coils were all on silica. I've been doing the cotton thread wrapped on mesh thing for my GTUS and it's working well for me, no shorts and far fewer dry hits. I'm still not totally sold on the genesis thing, I like silica best for rebuildables so far, but I may get a DID at some point to try out

It was bound to happen sooner or later I guess......I've actually been quite lucky so far.....leave it to me to break one of my best pieces
