thanks, Delilah and starlight! I'm soooo happy to be able to think about someone while I'm making their piece, makes it that much more special to me.

Reidus, that's brilliant. We should have a glossary of terms. Might take a minute or two, but we'll get it there. We like educated collectors :) simply because our work comes from a very educated pool of people.

glad to help, Freddy! Blu, I like your idea as well! I'm psyched cause I finally figured out I can use a trippy on my Vivi's! I've been moving towards clearo's lately mostly cause I'm bummed by the bad-tasting Boge's, as well as the purer flavors I get out of the clearo's. And quite frankly, the new Stardusts, Vivi's and the Kanger T2's are all awesome, lol.

Freddy - at one time we talked about having a glossary with picture examples of all the terms, but we would need a forum where we could save it as a "sticky topic".
If we could get Bert a Supplier's Forum, it would be easy to do.

yea, that would work. I would like for us to have it on the site as well or for starters. This way anyone that comes to order can know what the terms mean. I dont know how many more times I'll be able to explain "frit" without getting a little creative from boredom

Regular answer

"Frit is graduated crushed color glass"

Creative (after saying it toooo many times)

"Frit is like glass that imploded like a meteor into tiny little pieces"

or...."Frit is glass made by miniature people"

it could go on :p

we can also make a custom order info sheet like the first time buyer sheet so when anyone ask in here we can just give them the link :)

Got any GA Peacock frit in there?

Hi Rose!

The pictures are of cullet from glass that either broke during shipment or during flameworking being made into frit.

I have an extensive amount of both frit and powders from our color companies, but I tend to use mostly Northstar color myself. I have used peacock which is by Glass Alchemy before, it's a beautiful color. I actually just made 6 or 8 drip tips out of peacock, they went to clouds of vapor, I believe....It's much easier to buy made frit than to make it. After I crush it, I have to run a magnet to remove metal, graduate the frit size with screens and sort. It's more of a labor of love. Most of my peers just throw out cullet, I'm the guy that tells them not to and makes frit out of it. I could get some peacock...if you twist my arm a bit :D

I hear if you say DeviantDe three times in front of a monitor she appears with Google docs...

LMAO!!! I kinda do do that LOL... sadly not while at work though, nothing saved here... however usually when asked what a certain term or style is, I just show pics of tips I own that are in the style in question :)
And answering questions led me to making this a while back, it's somewhere over in the pic thread lol, so anyone that looked at it would have an idea of what some of the other tips were and what some of the terms may mean lol
