Wow! I just turned on the Weather channel. I didn't realize what y'all were facing in the NE. Y'all be careful!
I had to laugh though: one of the captions said 1700 snowplows available in NY. In Atlanta, we only had 3 salt trucks in the entire city, and they were at the airport.

Actually, I remember most of them, though a few were before my time.

I remember there was a pizza joint or two when I was a kid that still had those little table-top jukeboxes at the beginning of the video I'd forgotten all about those. Most of that stuff is way before my time, though

Waffle House still has the jukebox at least. But full-service gas stations have gone the way of the dinosaur, unfortunately.

I remember getting our first TV when I was growing up. Only black and white back them. We got it on Halloween and it was the only time my mother had to make my brother and I go out trick or treating.

Except for the few states that won't let you pump your own gas.

Even the ones who claim full-service really aren't, at least not in the sense of the old full-service stations. The little gas station on main street here still has an attendant who pumps your gas and might even check your oil if you ask, but that's about it

That reminds me of this song I used to listen to a lot, I think it was "whipple's last customer" or something like that. Artist by the name of Chris Williams. Can't find any of his stuff on Youtube or anywhere, but I think I still have that album on cassette somewhere

He was one of a bunch of artists that came to my college to play, probably around '97 or '98. We had a weekly program on campus where we'd have a performer come and then an open mic afterward, he was one of the ones I really dug

Oh yes. The Oil Embargo of the mid 70's.

And I remember those space sticks vaguely. I remember Tang vividly, however.

haha, way before my time if you mean what I think you do, but one of the guys I work with likes to tell stories of his younger years and he hits on that subject once in a while

I stopped drinking that stuff after some fun at boy scout camp . . . throw the powder on the campfire and the flames changed all kinds of colors, I suddenly lost the urge to drink it after seeing that
