Hi guys, long time no talk! It's been a crazy week around here. How are you guys dealing with Atlas? On my end, I'm watching Karen closely. At this point, I'm not planning on leaving, but we'll have to see how it plays out.
Great tips, Bert! Looking forward to the sale!
Atlas?

I have some very exciting news for my Trippy family.
My Doctor rang me today down the Coast to inform me I am finally CANCER FREE.
I had a very lengthy scan done to see if there were any cells left or grown since I was operated on. I was so nervous about the outcome.
Thanks to everyone on Trippyville giving me constant support I am sure you are part of the reason the result was so good.
Saying thank you really doesn't convey how I feel about each and everyone of you.
I still have treatment to finish and tablets I need to take for 5 years but I feel very blessed to have come through this illness so far.
Thank you everyone Trippyville & Bert.

Thank you, there is always a spare bed Downunder for you. Trippyville was the first place I came to spreading the news. Now I better ring the family. I feel like shouting at the top of my lungs at the moment.

Glad to hear you are getting through Jim. That is a STRANGE coincidence! I will be doing a First Friday event tomorrow at the last place I saw my friend Brian before he passed. Life has a way of reminding us of those that we love the most in little subtle ways that can some times catch you off guard. Some times I catch myself wishing that Brian could be somewhere, and then I realize that his spirit and energy ARE there with me. Maybe what she is trying to tell you is that she will always be with you and that she doesn't want you to be sad since she is not gone, just hanging out on a different plane of existence? Who knows, but I have been keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as well ((Jim))! Hang in there!

This kind of comment is why I love the Trippy community so much.

I've not been able to pop on much of late with the new job and trying to spend time with my husband when we have conflicting schedules, but I dropped in tonight and saw this.

We just passed the one year marking of my Dad's passing. When that happened, we had just moved to a new town where I had absolutely no support system in place. Coming to this thread, venting, and having so many people offer kindness and support really helped me get through that time. I know it sounds sappy, but I really don't know what I would have done without this virtual community to lean upon.

Tonight is the first night I have logged on since the anniversary date and I see Bert's kind and wise words and then I read the most amazing thing - that our DW is cancer free. And I'm filled with unbelievable happiness. DW, you said you were going to win this fight for people like my Dad and you did it. My heart feels like it's going to burst.

And while I may not have time to do more than pop my head in every couple weeks for a while, I just wanted to let you guys know how much I appreciate you all.

And yes, my beautiful Trippy Tips, too! :D

so yeah, finally home. any chance tonights show was recorded somewhere for those of us sad people who couldn't be home?
and when's the sale?

I had guests for dinner and held it until it was over. I had DH's support on that though, he was right over my shoulder watching. One person was late and the other said he didn't mind and thought Bert's making a tip was awesome :D

I thought I read that they were available to play for 24 hours, but I have no idea where? Perhaps Bert can get a copy of it on youtube or something?

I was at my sisters for dinner. She has no computer at the moment (she broke it) and she took FOREVER to make dinner so I couldn't even steal hers to watch the show. She said she'd have dinner ready when I got off work... she hadn't even started it when I got there. 3 hours later she had it done. Seriously? It was tacos.. that takes me like 30 minutes max to make tacos beans & rice. I told her she'd make a horrible housewife lol. It took forever to get out of there.
