Heya bert I remember when you first came into chat talking about the idea. I'm glad to see it panned out! Beautiful pieces you make there as I said before. Going to have to place an order soon I just stumbled on the thread

I've given up on ever buying one of these. That's pretty sad, because I've definitely got the money to throw around.

So unless somebody gives me one, i don't ever plan on owning one. I can go to my local flea market & have a nam vet there do my name in blown glass with roses & buttetflies for $15, in 10 minutes.

Yeah at one point in time i wanted some of these, not anymore.

So you only came in to say you don't care about owning one now?
Sure you right.
Perhaps that nice Vietnam vet can make you some with roses and your name in lights!

All kidding aside bmwjen, it was never about the money it is about being patient and waiting your turn to own a piece of art made only by this one very talented person.

Good news everyone...my good friend Matt is going to be helping me with production! He is an awesome glassblower, and a heck of a guy too. It will take a couple weeks until we can get some of his wares up on the site since we are working long distance, but once we get into a routine and get rolling it is possible that production could be more than twice as fast!

OK, I new here myself but here is the rundown given to me.

At this point there are 22 or 21 "beta" testers left. These are people who pre-ordered before May and are first in queue for Trippy Tips. Bert, Mr. Trippy Tip, will be posting tips frequently on the site and beta testers can order whatever they want. Once they order though, they are taken off the list. Once that list is fulfilled, the site will open up for orders from the general public.

Recently Bert has said he will be posting one or two tips a business day possible but their are no guarantees. He is also working on improving the glow-in-the-dark and other innovations in the glass tip area (like preventing liquid mouth explosions). Although there are no firm fixed times or innovations he is reassuring recent thread-comers that the wait isn't as long as it would appear at first glance. In addition just a few posts above he says he is working on a partnership to increase production capacity in the future.

I think that's a reasonable 'where we're at' summary.. I hope or I'm still lost myself. -Magnus

as mentioned I use glass exclusively. it make a HUGE difference! I did not want to be lazy, but sometimes reading through all these pages makes me cross eyed. I really look forward to owning some of these pieces. If I follow form, I will end up owing a TON of these. I have a tendency to go overboard. I cannot stop buying when I like something. Looks like excellent product!

Bert explained it in the thread when he first set up the website. I think it's to show what tips he has already made and sold to the early/beta buyers.

If you're a beta team member and Bert posts 100k of them and you get to the site first and have a really liberal Credit Card then yes, theoretically you can.... now, if you're saying you ~can~ order 100k of them, then maybe Bert will just post he has 100k of them in-stock, wait for you to pay up, and then disappear himself to a small island off of Costa Rica for an early retirement. ;-) -Magnus
