Here's a Chihuly in Venice, Italy...phew!

Wow Freedy you took me back. In 2000 we did the Disney Cruise. The first destination was the Atlantis in Nassau that had just opened. Our tour of the resort took us to Dale Chihuly's Temple of the Moon and the Temple of the Sun. We were blown away by they're majesty and beauty.

Here's the Temple of the Sun...

OMG That is amazingly beautiful. If I had a nicer house to put such beautiful things in I would want something like that as a light/chandelier.
Maybe if I had one of those I would be more willing to give up my moms awesome smoked 70's globe light I have hanging here that my sister keeps trying to lay claim on... nah, probably not lol.

"The Temples" inspired Mrs Rat (she still doesn't think that name is cute... huh??) and me. We have purchased two pieces Art for our home. Our first was a hand blown vase from an artist from the Carmel area and we love it. I need to get a pic and find the artists name.


The other we also found in Carmel after our daughter was born. Every day I walk by it and I 'see' my wife and daughter and smile

Blu- that baby has been nuts today. Finally got a chance to roll a better wick on a paper clip and wrap a new coil. Got it working great on my first try today!

I watched zen's video first which helped making the wick. Then Steve's, but in the end I also used blu's screwdriver trick on the coil before any of mine would work.
