Amber - 15 shots??? Oh H no .... they'd have to knock me out .... club me with a Shockwave or something.
I hate those shots .... nothing is worse than them.
Don't you just want to smack the dentist when he says it will just be a little pinch!!!

Good evening all! Wew, what a day, Sedge and I have really been working extra hard the last few days and it is hotter than heck here. I think 113 today with humidity. I am pooped! I gotta go bathe the baby in a few minutes. Have a great night all maybe I'll see you later if I don't pass out from exhaustion...i keep forgetting I'm pregnant and wonder why I am so tired...haha

Root canal a while back, they did the injections and apparently hit a nerve. That entire side of my face was paralyzed for over 12 hours! I had to tape my eye shut because I couldn't blink and I could feel pain when it got all dried out, but I still couldn't blink. I'm not very fond of that dental assistant LOL
I have that nightmare too... it's creepy and wrong!
So sorry, Amber. I had some work done and only had like 5 injections...that was bad enough. Now they want me back to do my cavities and I am not too eager, to say the least.
Wtf? Why 15? Sounds like great bedside manner explaining what they were going to do BEFORE the procedure...omg...

My mouth was drooping on that side and I was drooling. I looked like I had a stroke. And the nightmare is terrible. They start crumbling in my mouth and I have to spit them out one at a time.
I "liked" that to show I read it .... sounds like you need a new dentist. 
Our civilian dentist is WAY nicer than the Navy guys. She is a sweety.
Much better customer service since they WANT you to come back.

I don't know why so many. From talking with other people they say she's a little rough and people complain a lot so maybe she decided she would numb me so good I couldn't tell. She put a towel over my eyes and just went to town.

I keep going back because they are really good at not hurting me during normal teeth cleanings. This is the first time in years that I've needed anything else from them.
i had a back tooth extracted a couple years ago and i told the guy i could still feel the tooth after like 5 shots and he still yanked it and it wasnt easy for him or me. it was like he used a placebo number and im laying there going ahhhhhhhhh, oh fu....your killing me.....very loud. i bruised the nurses arm cause i had grabbed her and didnt even know it. it was a terrible thing to have happen..... kids, say no to drugs,lol.

I have a really great dentist now, he has never once hurt me, besides the shots anyway. The last dentist I had got mad because the roots on the tooth he was doing a root canal on were at an angle. I had to go back 2 days later for him to finish it and he was not gentle!!
I am always scared that they won't numb me enough. I would be out of that chair and out the door!
